I believe Amsoil's recommendation for OE (which stands for "original equipment") is to use the car manufacturer's guidelines. So for our cars, that would be 7500 miles unless your driving conditions are severe. Living in upstate NY, some might consider my driving conditions "severe" due to the freezing temps. But I'm not an aggressive driver, and Blackstone said my oil was good for at least 6500 miles.

I believe Amsoil's recommendation for Signature is 15k miles or 1 year, whichever comes first.

So my OCI with Amsoi OE is 6.5k, and I pay $6.10/qt. Signature is $10.55/qt, so if Flyboy's UOA indicates that Signature would be good for more than 11k miles, then the upcharge to Signature would be worth it.

OK, so I just visited Amsoil's web site, and Signature is good for 25k miles for normal driving, and 15k miles for severe driving.

I would want to see UOA data to verify that extreme numbers like these are acceptable. Your 8k mile UOA on Signature is a good starting point. I'm hoping to see really good TBN numbers with only 8k miles on the oil.

Amsoil also claims that Signature isn't consumed as quickly as other oils. I'd be curious to see what Signature does in an Impreza that's showing consumption. But that would be an expensive experiment if the Impreza consumes Signature too (although not as expensive as replacing an otherwise good car).

With extended OCI numbers like Signature is claiming, I'd probably change the oil filter half way through the interval (and then add a little oil to make up for the lost oil that was in the old filter).

that was my original plan, but now I think I am going to run with OE until the warranty is nearly up.

Just installed my k&n filter. Would I be an idiot to put the sticker on the airbox?

No, why would that be idiotic?

Am I an idiot for putting an Amsoil sticker on the underside of my hood?

nearly done with my LED's in the:
1. door cubbies
2. footwells
3. cubby under radio.
4. overhead

pics tomorrow, I need to figure out a way to adjust the aim of the drivers side cubby though, it is slightly too high. maybe it won't be noticeable with the footwells turn on, time will tell i guess.

also need to figure out what camera settings show it as it is rather than overexposed

i'm really happy with the door cubby though as it is the perfect brightness. Very subtle and not overpowering at all. I don't like lots of interior light at night and I'm happy with them

Do you have a PN for the AEM version? IIRC, I've seen OE replacement air filters for the 2012+ 2.0 Impreza cross referenced with other earlier Subaru models.
Also have had both styles, but prefer the "dry" air filter from AEM.

man, i dorve throve the snow and it popped off. really not the hard. you either need an interior trim tool removal or tape over a thick flat head. it quite literally pulls forward of the car. i had to install one, so i know. get a the flat head under the cover at the front and make a little get for finger tips. PULL FORWARD. not down, not up, not to the side. forward.

I would think that you'd want to somehow use a tripod and take a no-flash picture. A flash would wash your LED lighting out.

I'm most interested in your overhead lighting solution. It's the cup holders that I most wish had some light shining on them....

I'm slow, between planning, figuring out how to snake wires into the doors, and installing speakers at the same time (soldering every connection) it has taken a lot of time. If I didn't solder everything I would have been done hours ago, lol

I used a little plastic pry tool from a blackberry tool kit I have to pry the corner up slightly (a plastic butter knife would work too so not to scratch anything) & once I got my fingers under the corner (outside bottom corner) it lifted right out for me. Pull straight towards you. Snapped back in no problem.

Here's an update up on these LEDs for anyone interested.

After having to shave off 4 tabs on the base of each LED, I installed them only to be severely dissapointed. The color of these LEDs look nothing at all like they do in the pictures on this guys eBay page. Instead if a bright, light yellow, they are more if a dim, amber turn signal color. I feel completely ripped off and probably won't be able to return them because I already shaved the tabs.

I would recommend staying far away from these unless you feel like wasting over $50 of your hard earned money.

Yeah, you live and you learn. I took a chance on an fleaBay item and lost. I'm going to reserve final judgement until I see them in the dark, but I have a feeling they're not going to look much better.

Thanks, but no thanks. I think I'm just going to stick with the stock bulbs and buy some yellow overlays this time.

damn that sucks.

how do you get to the fog lights to change the bulb? do you pull out the fog covers and then just pull the fog light out from the front? or do you have to go under the car and remove some things to get to it?

Go under the car. There is a clip and two screws. If I remember correctly
