Also, anyone know of aftermarket spoilers for the 5-Door Impreza? I've never been crazy about the Subaru one. Looking for something that blends more into the existing lines on the rear hatch.
i'm x2 interested too for aftermarket spoiler

Has anyone downloaded the factory service manual off of ebay? I saw it posted on ebay a long time ago but never bought it. It's not on there anymore. I was wondering if I could buy a copy off of someone.

So today for the first time I tried the cruise control on my car after finally completing break in. And...it does nothing. I'm not sure whats wrong but I pressed the cruise button, held it down, tapped it, but no lights or anything came on. Am I missing something here? The cruise didn't engage that's for sure.

You have to hit the cruise button and then press the toggle down saying set.

press cruise, cruise should indicate on the LCD. if it doesn't, take it to the dealer. if it does indicate, press set and you are done.

there is actually a TSB for this, and the code can only be read by the dealer, it is "cruise cancel mode 43". if the light doesn't activate then it is a problem with your VDC/ABS. i would post the TSB, but I don't know how to post a PDF

Who here has installed the perrin short shift adaper and bushing? I'm really interested in picking one up but I'm not sure if the bushing is worth the effort, and I heard the adapter moves the shift knob about an inch forward, I'm not sure if this is to positive or negative effect... My other option is a lathewerks shift knob. I'm looking for shorter throws and better shift feel. Any advice?

COBB + lathewerks stainless + Kartboy Bushings front/rear =

that is my setup. i went with the new knob first and was pretty happy, but after doing the shifter and bushings i really wish i had gone that route first. i think my overall throws right now are in the 3-4" range (1-2, 3-4) and it is very solid feeling, there is zero doubt, and shifter sits in the stock location just lower

I have the Perrin adapter, it does not move the shift lever forward much, or it certainly is not noticeable -- I don't even have long monkey arms (though I do have the seat almost all the way back).

But whatever floats your boat, i am happy with the perrin, the stock lever, and the stock knob. The shortened throws are much nicer than stock, though.

Are any of the Impreza WRX short throw shifter kits by subaru drop in replacements for the 2012+ Impreza or are there compatibility issues?

adhesive....which is why one has to be very careful when putting them on. I did it on a very cold windy day...that didn't help the situation. Still came out nice though.

It's also a good idea to install the laminate on a warm day. When the laminate (and the lens you're sticking it to) are cold, the laminate loses its flexibility, which makes it difficult to squeeze out the wrinkles and air bubbles.

I keep looking to see if I can find this one anywhere... but no luck. Looks like it's an "STi Impreza" kit in Japan. Just interested in that rear hatch spoiler on it... not the rest of the kit.

I do like the exhaust setup with bumper piece as it doesn't sacrifice ride height...

That's a good point. If I could get that bumper without those "gills" in the side, it'd be a nice setup for custom dual exhaust.

Can some one tell me if these wheels would fit my 2012 impreza 2.0i?

Your link is dead.

I think in general you want to stay close to stock, so the stock offset is +48 so you should stay around there. Also stay close to stock wheel size/tire size if you dont want to change anything else.

My stock wheels are 17x7, yours may be different depending on trim.
