Has anyone blown out their speakers?

Im always afraid of this ever since the crappy stock speakers blew on my old accord. Driving on the highway alot forces me to turn up the radio to compensate for the noise.

I have blown many speakers in all my years lol I use to work as a concert sound tech soooo sometimes I played around too much. replacing speakers isn't that costly and if you are really worried you could just replace them with some quality aftermarket ones and a good amp so that you can avoid this issue. Most speaker blow outs IMHO are usually caused by electrical impedance.

Does anyone know the torque specs for RSB installation? I see the idea was touched on pg. 635 but I don't see numbers. Thanks in advance.

I think in general you want to stay close to stock, so the stock offset is +48 so you should stay around there. Also stay close to stock wheel size/tire size if you dont want to change anything else.

My stock wheels are 17x7, yours may be different depending on trim.
im on steelies but want to upgrade to 17x7 5x100 prodrive p1 wheels. but thanks for the answer!

Yea nice choice. youll have no problems at 17x7 as long as offset is close, id guess +/- 8mm to be safe.

Im sure those wheels would be fine, but you should also make sure theyre not heavier then the stock wheels. Heavier wheels hurts mpgs because of the acceleration of rotating mass multiplies the force needed to move the otherwise dead weight. Prodrive is a somewhat reputable name brand so its probably not a problem.

Also make sure they dont have a history of cracking/bending, again its prob ok

So today I was gunning it to have a bit fun. I may have shifted into second a bit hard but I didn't grid or anything. Anyway when I let the clutch out, I did it a bit fast but not really any more than I've done in the past, didn't pop it, I heard this loud clack noise come from somewhere. Everything works great, sounds fine and I didn't feel anything, but I've never heard a noise like that before. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to be more gentle?

he he i think you will be fine, just how fast were you going, if you think that sucks I put it in 2nd instead of 4th two times when I was down shifting good thing I wasn't going too fast. Once I got use to this car I no longer miss when shifting.

Rims like that are like the Tangerine Orange Pearl on the XV Crosstrek or Special Edition WRX/STi. You either love it or hate it. Therefore, asking for other's opinion on them is kind of irrelevant since it's not going to be something that "everyone likes".

Neutral things like silver, gray, black, they're colors we can all agree on because they're on EVERYTHING. Neon, Barbie-aisle Pink, stuff that would look good under a black light... they take the right kind of person to like 'em, but there will always be nay-sayers on the other end of that spectrum.

An offset of +45 is fine too (that's what I have) but like others have said the link to the posting has expired.

Good deal. And if you get tired of the color, you can always paint the rims.

Just installed the COBB short shifter and Kartboy front and rear bushings as recommended by flyboy. They're a significant improvement over the stock parts and being able to adjust throw and height is great.
