Subaru really, REALLY needs to redesign these stupid seats already! They also need to fess up and admit they have problems with oil consumption.
Actually broken, did they show you?

Yup! The first time it happened, the broken clip fell out of the seat back onto the rear floor mat. I can feel it when it happens. I hear and feel something in the seat "let go" and then there's an indention in the lumbar section of the seat.

Admittedly, I am a larger guy at 6 feet, 250 lbs., but this is just ridiculous! Never have I owned a car that the seat constantly broke, squeaked and moved when my weight shifts.

I'm similar sized, I only had a clip pop off. It is just a small piece of metal with a hook on each end.

I'm about 200lbs, and my car has 18k miles on it. The seat squeaks when I sit down, or if I move around. It's been getting worse, but I can't hear it while I'm driving.

Got some puma fast cars today. They are driving shoe inspired sneakers. Definitely increased feel with driving!

My feet are too big for my sneakers to fit so 100% heel toe barefoot or in socks

I'm in the same boat, size 13 shoe isn't ideal for heel toe shifting

Posted in this thread two years ago. Traded in my '03 Forester XS and bought a red '13 Sport Premium 5 speed a week ago. So far I like it, no serious complaints yet.

No serious modding planned. I do have a leftover set of Subaru 5 spoke 17" wheels in the garage. Might mount a set of summer tires to those.

Im 5'10" and about 185 lbs. My seat has been a literal pain in the ass.
Coincidentally, Car and Driver have noticed their seat "sounds like an old motel room matress".

It is because they didn't really use insulation between the metal. I think I will be adding some

Just finished the rsb install. Oh. My. God. If you havent done this yet, do it immediately. I can't believe the difference it made. Completely changed the car. I just fell in love all over again.
