Yep, and as the target temperature nears, the fan should slow down in speed. Has anyone noticed the A/C turn on automatically (Not with defrost) when you have the temperature towards the cold end of the climate control? I noticed this even when it is not warm in the inside of the car. I always prefer to be in full control of the A/C, but what can you do.

Go for it, it is your car, but don't think that making up stories about what you think happened when the tire pressure was determined means anything but that you like to make up stories about it, in the absence of any evidence whatsoever, so you can rationalize your decision to use a different pressure.
I think he mainly over inflates because of the firmness, not for any other gain. I personally always stick with the stock pressures. You can't go wrong!

And also, I don't know why people are stock Yoko haters? Sure they don't perform like snow tires, and perhaps not the best in the all-season category, but they have low rolling resistance which gives you better gas mileage - which we all want and some complain about not getting!

My only real complaint about them is noise

And I got my headlight armor headlight overlays installed last night, not real happy with them. They look good, but optical clarity is kind of crap. They put lines in the headlight pattern close to the car, w/in 20ft, it isn't noticeable anywhere else, but it is annoying. I might be contacting them to complain. Looking at them you would never guess, until the lights are on anyway

And I got my last door done, overall noise in the car is less, but not gone obviously. Footwells are next which should help with the road noise I hope. I wish I could do something for wind noise but I don't think I can

The Yoko's are embarrassing in the snow. They shouldn't have an "All Season" label on them.

I've been completely satisfied with the traction from the stock tires. However, we had a weak-ass winter hear in southeast Pennsylvania, so I can't say too much about how they did in the snow.

When the tires do wear out, I intend to replace them with something a bit quieter and grippier, but I've got no real complaints at this point.

I just swapped the stockers back on and took off my winter tires - probably a good thing too, cause I found a sidewall bubble in one of my winter tires. From what I've read this isn't a good thing and I'm going to have to buy new winter tires come November.

Yea... but Im not gonna waste your time with my low-balls. lol Those are practically brand spankin new.

Plus if I do get new wheels, I may need to change tire sizes anyway.

Well, it looks like I have no choice but to stick with my 5-Door Impreza. The new WRX is only offered in a 4-Door Sedan. Nothing against 4-Door Sedans aesthetically, but I need my functionality. With the gear I haul, I require a Hatch. Amps, Keyboard cases, Trombone cases, Music Stands, and the occasional Laser Tag haul. Trunks don't work for all that loading.

Now the real question is... do I take that money that I potentially save from NOT getting a WRX and continue my car's steady transformation into a WRX-ified 4th Gen Impreza? (insert evil smile here)

I tried mine at 36/36 for a while. The ride is definitely more busy! I like the softer ride of stock pressure. There seems to be a small hit to mpg but meh.

My tires are at 37/35 now beside haven't adjusted them in the last week for the slightly warmer temps. I managed to break all 4 tires loose on the on ramp last night at about 45mph....need to drop them back down so I can have better traction again...

Got my "new" wheels on. Gotta figure out what pressure works on them since the tires are a little more sporty and stiff than the stocks. They're not new, but they'll be fine for the time being until I get my others.. I'm gonna take some pics this weekend. Just sucks about the springs not being out yet because there's definitely a little more fender gap now.. lol

Leave the Impreza stock and sock away want you were intending to put into the WRX and wait a year or so. I'd be willing to bet that a 5-Door WRX will be offered in the near future. Remember in 2008, that the 4-Door wasn't offered and that changed in a couple of years - it's simply demand driven. If not a WRX, it may be a "turbo'd" Impreza with the Forester XT engine/drive train (old Impreza GT type of thing).

I could see that happening. I suppose the other problem I have is the romantic relationship I have with the 4th Gen Impreza's looks. Even after drooling over the WRX Concept photos, when I walked out to the parking lot to get my car I couldn't help but think "Damn, that's a good looking car."

I'll keep working on it, but I think you're right. I'll hold off on anything too crazy for awhile.

I have a lot against sedans. Can anyone say "mainstream" and "irrational"?

I dont mind that there wont be a 5 door, most people dont need the extra cargo space and prefer a sedan. However, I am very surprised because every car manufacturer has a sporty hatchback now. Now the 5dr impreza is the only option.
