I figured so.. Just would rather not pay like 50 or something for a dumb piece from them if not necessary.. Is it the same as a WRX it anything? You can get those cheap off eBay..

It appears that the vendor who sold those to me (two years ago, for my TDI) is now out of business. Sorry.

I found my sheet of left-over stickers, so here's how I used them in the Impreza:

Guys, question.

Rear wiper on the wagon..

Is this a wiper you have to order at the dealer since it's shaped around the pivot point, or can you buy any brand as long as it's the correct size (I think 16") OR do you only buy the rubber refill for the existing blade?

Thanks..

wipers123.com has the entire piece at good prices. I've been using them for years for my car and my family's cars. Looks like it's the Trico Exact Fit Rear Integral Blade 12" (12-B) for $11.98.

The dealer will replace the wipers free for the first 24k, iirc. Both my Subes came right off the truck and needed new blades almost immediately.

Good look on that, but I will only have them do the rear.. I put better wiper blades on the front of the car the second day I owned it. haha

I had mine replaced twice for free on my Impreza.
But I agree with AWB, and will be buying my own for added performance and durability.

They told me unlimited times during the warranty period, as long as they actually do need to be changed. You can't just get new blades once a week if the ones you have work fine.

Mine survived the bugs and rains pretty well. But there are better blades out there for sure.

1 of my local dealers new nothing about it, the other said it was 1 time. I never bothered to check the book because my replacements weren't any better than the ones i replaced.

FWIW, Costco will have the goodyear frameless on sale for 4.99/ea starting on 9/5/13. I'm currently using them and am very pleased, i plan to go buy another set to have on the shelf. regular price is good though too at 7.99/ea

Quick question: are brakes covered under warranty? I have about 21k on the odometer and I noticed that the rear left brake has a pretty good gouge on the rotor all the way around, and it makes a sound when braking.

Would anyone be interested in buying my sti front lip spoiler? I put a lift kit on the car and haven't really liked the look now that its off the ground a bit. Just wondering before I post it and take it off car.

Probably a rock and not a mechanical defect so probably not covered

Ask, as the dealer may actually do it. I had the front rotors turned twice on my '08 OBS under warranty.

Ugh, I hate turning rotors. My experience has been that turning rotors removes enough mass that the rotor can't dissipate heat effectively, after which it just warps again. At this point if I have a warped rotor, I just replace it.

If you do put a switch there for something else, that's not a blank there. You'll actually have to cut it. You can order a replacement panel for about $8 online though. The part number is 83472FJ010WJ.
