with all due respect, what is exactly the point of trying to push something to the limits knowing its going to break? i mean are you trying to get this customer to buy more parts from you? if he wants "500 hp" why not do it the right way the first time as opposed to blowing something up and possible damaging other things aside from the pistons/short block?

i know damn well you and the tuner both know the boundaries of the stock bottom end...just seems pretty counter-productive.

I have to agree. Anyone that's been around Subarus for longer than a month knows there is a very high possibility that when you push that 500 WHP mark your going to start breaking stuff. Why did you decide to put all that money into the car then switch to rotated. Also why not build the block from the get go, then you know you have some more reliable parts?

I definitely made some mistakes in this build and would do things differently if I had the chance to do it over again, you live and you learn!

Just picked up the car today
Car drives pretty smooth considering it is on a safe tune, need to break her in and tune will happen two weeks from today
The Bullseye turbo and rotated set up didn't happen
But the car should be plenty quick when the tune is final

What was the reason for motor failure? Higher Intake temps or ? I made 450 stock block on a mustand dyno rotated 30r for over a year and road raced it on multiple ocassions. That seems weird to me that the car ran for a week? according to the dates in the post?? Thats a failure if you ask me..

no E85 in your parts?

Not sure the exact reason.
That's awesome, I did not fair anywhere near that
Yes it was strange, it ran for less than a day correctly on 530whp.
Yes it was.
Just a methanol kit.

What was wrong with the BC Stroker crank? Was the problem something typical of BC cranks?
