Question Anyone slammed/lowered on '06+ OEM Impreza wheels???

Hey guys, i came from hondas and if you have too then you know us honda guys were real big on slamming/lowering our cars on other oem wheels with low pro tires

well i now own a blue 2007 impreza 2.5i sedan and i rather like the stock wheels and would like to save money, but the impreza body just seems like it demands some nice aftermarket wheels (wide ones at that)

i was wondering if anyone has a 06+ sube slammed/lowered on these wheels with low pro tires so that i could see what it looks like

i did a photoshop but it didn't really get the point across

here is the wheels i'm talking about

thanks!

^did you get your car to Subaru of Cherry Hill?
Because that appears to be that dealership in the image...

Anyway, its not only a matter of getting that low but your stock wheels just aren't that wide. My 07 is low right on on the stockers for winter and it looks kinda funky since the tire/wheel is so skinny and low offset. Regardless of width, you pretty much have the right idea in the image. But you won't acheive that 'look' with stockers, even on spacers, which will help, the wheel/tire setup remains narrow. My summer setup is 18x9e35 on 245/35 so in the winter stock on snow tires is pretty narrow

Good Luck

nah bro i just picked that cause it was the best donar image i could find on short notice since i actually JUST started LOVING my car thus i started modding it (just sold my other car on sunday so now my sube is my main DD)

my grandpa had the car from carmax in tenessee and he died and i inherited the car and i live in FL

anyways: ...My 07 is low right on on the stockers for winter and it looks kinda funky since the tire/wheel is so skinny and low offset. Regardless of width, you pretty much have the right idea in the image. But you won't acheive that 'look' with stockers, even on spacers,-

i was thinking that would be the case but needed someone like you to confirm it, i was hoping it would look better dumped on the stockers but oh well i guess i'll have to spend some decent change to get wheels/tires

oh well, next years tax return

thanks for the insight

07 WRX - its got a scoop so unless he has modified the sh#$ out of a 2.5i sedan then it HAS to be turbo thus its no less than a wrx

and might i say DAM that looks sick!!

more questions for you,
1.what size are the tires you used for the stockers
2. approx how low you went in the front and the rear (inches is fine- ballpark)
3.are those the oem WRX foglights cause they look similar but custom...

Gotta say, this is one of the few Hawkeyes that can pull off the '04-'05 scoop. Also are your fogs select yellow or did you tint the glass?

BTW, so much for covering up your license plate number..see image #2

His profile says 07 2.5i. Just sayin... And sorry if I'm wrong but, that is probably just a brake caliper cover. Unless this guy is using some massive spacers, no way in hell is a real brembo brake gonna fit under stock 2.5i wheels.

the tire in those pics were actually the stock size...oem tires...as far as lowering, i honestly have no idea how far i went, but if i were to guess, idhave to say probably around 2.5-3 inches....the fogs are actually lexus es300 fogs, they have a yellow glass lense

and for the critical people, its a 2.5i, as my profile says...the bumper flairs and side skirts are now matching, i dont have a ton of money to blow, so i had to rock a cgm bumper for a long time...the brakes were brembo covers a friend bought and didnt use, i just threw them on for ****s and giggles and wound up leaving em....and the scoop is gone too, not sure if its going back on....heres the car now

^Sorry just didn't want the op to get his hopes up. Definitely like the scoopless look better but I'm biased. Any reason you didn't just get oem fogs?

so what, its an n/a, i cant do a lot to make it fast like your sti...as i said, the caliper covers were free and just for the hell of it, the scoop was because i liked the way it looked, and the exhaust was because i like to be able to hear my car, quiet cars bore me...just because its not turbo, doesnt mean i cant make it look how i want....that doesnt make me a ricer, nor a "honda guy," though, yes, i do own a honda as well
