Hey guys, I am running a Hallman Pro RX MBC and am trying to set up my max boost. I am a little unsure of which boost reading I should be using in Romraider logger?
There are so many, which one should i have selected to know my realtime boost level? Sorry to put this in the built section but there is way way more people in this thread floating around and many with the knowledge i need!! Thanks

Your boost gauge is a good start. The ECU doesn't know how much boost your running because your using a MBC. It can only guess.

How do you think the ECU controls the boost if it doesn't know what it is? I'm not sure what it's called on your ECU, they're all called something different. Any of the terms that call themselves "manifold relative pressure" or similar are what you want. If you see multiple, just log them all, on some ECUs one of them will saturate at a low boost level while the others are fine. I believe the "universal" one to use is "Manifold Relative Pressure (4 byte)", if you have one by that name. |

Depends on the person controlling the knob. The only real downside to an MBC is the ECU loses the ability to cut boost when it sees excessive knock. They generally aren't recommended for stock-level setups, but once you move to big turbos, EWG, etc, many people prefer MBCs because they have less of a tendency to overboost and can be more stable/reliable.

My apologize for my post. I guess I should have worded that a little differently than what I did.

The map sensor (on your throttle body) is used for reading boost.
Your ecu on the stock sensor can detect up to 22.xx -/+ However, with a MBC, the ecu has no control over boost, that's all. |

you're gonna want to zero out any boost related tables, wgdc, target boost, etc etc
and the correct parameter for reading boost in rom raider is manifold relative pressure. remember the stock map sensor only reads up to ~25psi |

I am currently setting up the MBC as part of a dual EBCS and MBC
setup. My tables are all maxed by my tuner for WOT so the MBC takes over but still retains the fuel cut |
