Do those slow 0-60 and 1/4 mile times really have anything to do with the 17" wheel/tire upgrades?

I must say specifically the 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers not the stopping distance number

Great review. This is the first review I've seen that liked the brakes. Road and Track hated them.

Notice the awesome 60-0, 115 feet? Oh what a mighty difference tires can make.
If Subaru wants to instantly increase the WRX's performance metrics for braking and handling, all it needs to do is swap the standard tires from dogmeat RE92s to the RE011s that Europe and Japan get. Poof! Instant results. |

Did you all notice that they neglected to list the price of the 17" wheel/tire combo, which is what they tested.
Other than that it was an excellent report. In fact, I've already e-mailed it to an AWD non-believer. Bob |
