Default Identify this road!

Guys and girls who have seen the movie shooter with mark whalberg have seen this beautiful valley. I would love to know where it is or similar looking environments. I plan on taking a trip to Colorado and would definitely
appreciate any input. (im from texas)

It's not in Colorado, but Canada? Alberta.

I don't understand how i was wrong...... If you're leaving Calgary, going west towards Banff, you will see the plains slam into ****ing HUGE mountains.

Close....but not quite. I'm pretty positive that this was in BC, between Yoho and Glacier NP's. The shot is in a valley, and though the one set of mountains DOES look like the Banff/Jasper/Yoho area, everything east of there and Calgary is basically flat. Also, almost all of the movie was shot in areas of BC (aside from the DC and Philly shots), so that makes sense.

OP: If you want to drive it, you gotta go to Canada...probably around Golden, British Columbia.

Yeah, pretty positive that they are traveling AWAY from the B/J/Y NP area toward Western BC.

That whole video is supposed to take place in Wyoming and Montana, it was shot at a lot in LA for the burning cabin, then in BC for that driving scene.

It's in Canada, but there are TONS of awesome drives through Colorado and Utah if you're looking for that kind of scenery. Going up the 550 or across the 70 through Colorado should give you some epic views.

No....80 is a ****ty drive. At least the 70 has stuff to see. With 80, after you get past about Rock Springs, anywhere between there and the Mississippi makes me want to commit suicide. Not all of the 70 is stellar ... from Grand Junction to Salina sucks donkey balls. Also, the 34 going through Rocky Mtn Natl Park is kinda nice.

Actually, the really fun drives that I had in Colorado were the ones between Montrose and Durango.

If you want to hit Utah: Utah SR 12 (most scenic paved drive in the state, maybe in the Western US), Utah SR 150, the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway.

The flat area is into Alberta, not BC. Also Glacier/Waterton International Peac park is in AB not BC.
The ex's family lives in the area, and I would travel up to that park every summer.

Utah is right next to Colorado, though...

Brian, you're lucky to have gotten to live there. Calgary is kickass. I remember when we went up there for two weeks in the summer, and wandered around the whole Banff/Jasper/Yoho area. It was so awesome. Calgary is one of the few cities I would LOVE to live in.

What are you talking about? I stated it is heading toward Calgary, which is in AB. Not BC.

Nope, my new mistress Minni Mouse and I are doing very well.
