EJ20/25 vs EG33 decision needed
-
Hi everyone
Here is the deal i got a bugeye wrx with a rod knock(not sure how bad, def cant be good in any case), and just thinking of which root i should take?
The 5 speed in the car was rebuilt before i bought the car and come with a warranty but i got no problem sourcing out full 6 speed conversion in due time.
Should i go with wrx EJ25-will need to get
Should i go with sti Ej25- will need to get
Should i go with eg33- Have one not sure if its in a good condition Rebuilt might needed or another engine
Regards
DaniiL
Thank You guys in Advance

eg33 will be much more work...wiring/conversion work.
WRX ej25 and sti (excluding the 08+) are the same swap issues to deal with. You have to work out AVCS control and drive by wire.
For a bugeye, an EJ207 Ver7 and 8 are by far the EASIEST swaps you can do but they're 2.0L's and some people want the low end tq of the 2.5.

now i'm in work with eg33 in JDM STI V7.
EG33 is one expensive project, but real tq cost this money. EJ207 is too laggy
it will be custom Hydra ecu, and two Garrett T25.

Thank you everyone for your advice's. It's a really hard choice to make. I got the car already ready to go and it's still hard to decide. Anyone got any other suggestions?
