Drop in pistons wouldn't classify you as a stock block!
Great times! |

CP pistons = Not stock block
Quite a few actual stock block STI's around here going 130-133mph traps and 10s 11.3@124 is nice though! Congrats |

The #1 issue with running big HP on the stock block is the weak stock pistons. You have eliminated that issue by employing a non stock piston. While an effective solution to the problem the solution precludes it from being stock.
Let me help you: Built block Sti goes 11.3 thx to forged pistons, good driving and decent tune. We all love seeing subi owners and shops producing quality numbers. And we all understand that shops like to brag about these numbers. However, misrepresenting numbers does nothing to help the reputation or credibility of your shop. It makes you look like a bunch of shady wannabees. Last edited by MartinSTi05; 02-19-2011 at 10:31 PM. |

If you said 10.3 with stock rods I might be more impressed.
![]() Stage 2 block going 11.3 isn't all that awesome, especially with AEM and a 6262. |

Ok, guess that's by fault. To me if the block and bottom end are stock, I would call that stock. But as for the post I can see I'm very wrong. My bad. Still think for stock heads, cams, bottom endhaving ~ 100k on it, its doing ok. Sorry to get anyones hopes up with the subject then let them down.

I'm doing a taller 234 with billet forks upgrade. We I go to the local 1/8 mile its always trapping right around 100 cause I let it hit the revlimit in 4th. At the quarter I'm horrible a= hitting 5th. So I think it will get me where I would like to be. I will also be iknstalling dss axles and drag radials. So far I've been using 0 bosst on the 2step and bs potenza street tires.

Yea, id agee, ur pulling almost 30mph in back eight so if u don't. Have to hit 5th, should be hitting high 120's to low 130's with 10's even with out the drag radials. Sounds like 5th is ur only hold back. Its very impressive for street tires imo.

congrats
At 26 psi with street tires, stock heads, stock cams at full weight (3300 lbs plus) you are exactly where you should be with the 04 6 speed. My car back a couple years ago with similar mods to yours(just rods and pistons, no headwork or cams) but with just 93 octane and 50/50 meth and at 25psi. |

the car has more in it the way it sits with the 04 6spd,you just need to practice and bring your driving skills up.Also just relax and and take your time and the shift to 5th will not be a problem.
