Kinda disappointed with the response. Should I write back requesting to talk with the divisional rep?? In a professional way of course....

And yes, you can always request to speak to a regional rep. When my rear diff had to be replaced a SECOND time, the dealership had the regional rep take a look at it before they did the work. He told them to replace it.

My impression is that, generally, unless there is blatant abuse of the car evident, they will OK most repairs on the spot.
