Posted in the RS-R thread as well, but just wanted to say I just ordered a set of RS-Rs from onlinetires.

I emailed them to see if they were in stock, they emailed back in about two hours, then I placed the order online. So far, so good.

And cheap!

How are these tires compared to the stock 08+ STI Dunlop 600SPs in terms of grip and noise? The stock tires are driving me absolutely insane on my STI... I've driven on RE070s, RE01s, Dunlop Z1 Star Specs, and lots of winter tires, and I never had a problem with tire noise until I rode in the 08 STI. I just DD the STI, so I don't need a top tier autox tire, but I would like a comparable amount of grip and steering response as the stock tires.

I would be willing to bet that you alignment is off

and that you toe inst '0' which is why they are loud

and how many of the same questions are we gonna answer the same way in this thread????

Here is a question.

I see the SS595s run wide for a tire. I right now have 235x40 tires on my car (Sumitomo HTR Z II) and they are on a 17x7.5 inch wheel and fit fine, but are the SS595s that much wider that they might not fit on my 7.5 inch wheel in a 235?

federals run massively oversized.

don't even think about it with less than an 8 inch rim. an 8.5 would be preferred.

Well I looked up the specs of the tires on my car. Keep in mind the tires on my car fit perfect.

Sumitomo HTR Z II

235x40

Section Width 9.6in
Tread Width 8.2in
Overall Diameter 24.5in

does anyone have any specs on the federal tires I couldn't find them online. It seems like the SS-595s are not listed on the federal website?
