No, it's for the '07:

I'm Chris Higgins with Borla Performance Industries. You expressed interest in one of our exhaust systems by submitting your email so we could keep you posted on upcoming releases. We just wanted to come full circle and let you know the exhaust system you’re interested in is now in production.

The exhaust system for the 2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i 2.5L 4cyl Manual 5-speed AWD is referenced as Borla Part# 140263.

for that price i got borla replica headers, stromung cat, resonated midpipe, and a magnaflow axleback. i respect the brand, but seriously, who do they think is gonna spend that kind of dough for 300 bucks in steel, a 100 dollar muffler and a 100 cat.

Based on the description on Borla's site, and the fact it's a 3" exhaust, I can just about guarantee that's a WRX exhaust (or STI). In fact, if you go to "Select a new vehicle" and actually use the pull-down menus to select the 2008 2.5i you'll get zero results. Use the same pull-downs to select the 2008 WRX and voila! you get the page that the OP posted.

As for the price, keep in mind that's an MSRP. I would imagine the retail through someone like Summit Racing will be about 10% less than that. I still wouldn't pay $850, either, but it's just something to keep in mind.

$160 for stromung midpipe + $100 for a clean STi axleback would leave you with enough money to upgrade wheels and tires vs. buying that.

Wow! You can buy some TWE headers for that much $ and they are 10x the header the borlas will ever be... except for the sound. But if the sound is all you want, get the replicas.

Default Clarification

It is for the 07 model year Subie, but it is coming out as part of Borla's 2008 lineup. It is a new product for 2008, thus the '08 moniker. Still... damn that's expensive

Really, the question is, Is it worth the money? Do you get a performance increase from it, or is it just the sound that it makes? For your average import car, what would be the average $/HP for the most common mods, maybe $20-30/HP? So do we think this is going to provide that kind of power for the amount of money someone would put into it?

I seriously doubt it.

Wow, I got my stromung catback for $450 shipped. (used midpipe and brand new axleback). This makes me feel better. $949 is painful.
