So if you're using the 05' STi steering rack, are you also using an 05+ crossmember? Which method did you use to adapt it to the RS column?
Looks clean!

it might be an 04sti rack then. I bought the car with the rack installed, never asked what year sti rack they used. It has a RS pinion installed so the splines match the Joint.

Pending Sale.

Swap is not legalized, but the only thing it would need to pass carb inspection would be a catted downpipe and uppipe.

That makes sense then. You can replace the pinion on the 04's with the RS unit, not 05+. However, you effectually now have a lower mileage RS rack, as the pinion has changed the ratio back.
If you still have the STi pinion the buyer can mod the coupler to make it work.

Default I love your car!

Im extremely interested in your Subaru. Only thing is i wont know until the beginning of next week on how much will be given to me for my car. I would love to see it in person i live in Orange County so its fairly close. I am using a friends account, he's helping me out to try and find a car because I had just found out mine is totaled. PM this account and they will forward it to me.
Please reply as soon as possible!
