I love this product. They really thought it though on this one! I have it hooked up on my 09 WRX (green badge). I have been rolling around with it all winter and it has held up great. It has not been bent at all, and i have had to plow a lot of snow with my front bumper going back and forth to teach snowboard lessons. I was pretty sure a few times/snow banks it would have been bent up, but it has held up great. No rust, no bending, and it looks sick.

Pros: I really like how they made it very adjustable. You have the option to move your mounting point from the bottom of the plate bracket all the way to the top. If that wasn't enough they have mounting points all the way to the left and to the right.... and everywhere in between. Just check out the picture above and look at all the slits in the bracket. I actually used two opening to remount this after i added my fog lights. So in other words, positioning the plate on the car is really up to the user. I don't know of any brackets out on the market that come close to this customization. Then, as if that wasn't enough.... they also made it so you can adjust the angle of the plate in relation to the bumper. You can do this in two different ways. You can angle in and out, to copy the curve of the bumper. And if you want you can also rotate clockwise or counter clockwise (although i am not sure why you would want to do that). I think the positioning system alone is a reason to buy this over anyone else's plate.

The construction is solid, the hardware is well thought out. I am very happy with this product and support it 100%

Cons: Nothing I can find yet! It has held up in snow, sub-zero temps and survived multiple car washes a week all winter. Still looks new!

Looks nice. Any plans to make a blank to cover the OEM mounting holes? With or without the GrimmSpeed logo would be a nice option

I asked the same thing when we installed it. Justin and Chad said that they were talking about that option.

Just curious...what, if anything, would keep someone from unscrewing your license plate?

What keeps them from doing it when you use the standard mounting location?

Why would someone want your plate? Can't anyone with a screw driver do this normally on any stock setups?

Taking this plate is not a quick or easy process .... mine is pretty solid. Taking the whole setup would require time and tools.... not a smash and grab job. You have to remove a few parts to get this off the car. It doesn't just twist off.

Tamper resistant screws
You'd have to physically rip it off to steal it.

I'm interested, that's why I'm asking...
What else"anchors" it to the car besides the big part that screws into the car?
It just looks like someone could walk up and unscrew it...but you're saying it takes tools?

Yes, it takes a 17mm wrench to unbolt the main bolt, however once the kit is fully installed this is not something "easy" to get at. Also all bolts are allen heads so if theft was the goal they would have to plan ahead. We wanted to make it as hard as possible while still being simple to install. Once you bolt it all in the kit is solid, no slop!

You mean the license plate surround or the actual delete plate?

The cover that surrounds the license plate. She has it in pink, I wonder if I can order one in white from your website. Thanks

Loosk like this one was painted. Could be even with our CBR paint.:-) We have them in black but they can be easily painted any color.

Old thread, but was just getting ready to grab one of these off the grimmspeed site. Is this compatible with a '13 sti? Listing says 06-11, but I don't believe any significant body changes occurred in 12/13 over 11.

Tow hook cover disappeared at some point over the last week, and this seems like a suitable resolution rather than getting another one that will just disappear again...

^ FYI - mine is still holding strong! It has been on and off the car multiple times. Just make sure to use anti-seize (copper stuff) on the bolts if you live in an area with winters like ours.
