Theres a million threads about this. And yes... I have the same swap in a 04 Outback sport.

Here are the big costs you will have to account for.

-$800-1000 wiring harness merge either Zeypher, ECS, and a few others.(Zeypher imo is by far the best)
-Install now depend on how much you do, who you know, and so on this can be a huge range. $0000-2500
-Now i assume when you put everything on you will want to upgrade a few things so account for making a custom downpipe with ia performance twin scroll flange (if you go version 8+ like me) $500, used catback $300
-Then there are the maintance issues you should address, like but new break pads on, clutch if necessary, flywheel resurfacing, all you fluids, new plugs, timing belt, timing belt guide, and im sure im forgetting some other stuff but this can be between $500-1500 quick guess

All said and done figure you will be in the $10,000-12,000 range if you do it right. And I will STRESS to you DO NOT go with the cheapest swap package you will find because it will come back to bite you in the ass. Go from a reliable source thats not necessarly the cheapest

A few more things... You will need to do about 3 oil changes before you really drive the car. PM me for details if you want. And also you will need a tune or base map ASAP when your done.

someone on here is selling a complete V7 wiring harness BUY IT! its going to have everything you need to PROPERLY do electrical. dont forget to source a fuel pump controller because RS dont come with one. I'm sure wiring merges are done right but nothing beats oem reliability. You can also use an 02 wrx harness like I did.
