Default Bad paint spill in back seat. OUCH

I have a bad black paint spill (I can thank my nephew for that) on my back seats that cannot be removed. I am looking for a factory replacement back seat cover in tan for my '10 Impreza. I just need the bottom piece.

The dealer is charging me $360 for the part and another arm and leg for installation.

Im open to suggestions as to where I can get a replacement, a local place in Boston that can install in for a better price. or even a local junk yard where I can find a used on in great shape.

Thanks!

You could try a salvage yard for a used rear seat. I'd just buy the part from the dealer.

As for installation, did you check the owner's manual? Otherwise use the plethora of information on this forum and the internet and just do it yourself.

Your profile isn't filled out so I have no idea if it's a sedan or hatch, but a quick search resulted:

car-part.com will let you search every junkyard in the country. Find one close in the right color. Should be under $100 for the whole seat. It's just a few bolts to put the seat in, no big deal.

Are they quoting you for the entire bench seat bottom (foam and cover) or just a fabric cover? If it's the former the install will be very simple, if it's the latter then yeah it would be a bigger deal and something they would farm out to an upholstery shop.

Either way, car-part.com is the way to go.

Good question. Im going to clarify that tomorrow. The parts guy said it was the bottom cover but Ive priced out a whole seat for about the same. I am not too familiar with seats and thought that they would have to be reapulstered like a couch. Obviously not the case.

The seats are in great shape and it seems wasteful to replace the entire seat just for something cosmetic. However Im also looking for the best price since this isnt a planned expense.

The seat cover replacement is not a 5 minute job fyi, its rather labor intensive.

Would be cheaper to order just the cover and replace it. It would take less time to just replace the whole seat bottom assembly
