Not sure if I'm the first but this stuff sucks to remove. I know venders of Hexis cf vinyl say that is a down side to 3m. It's really not ment for cars, paint jobs, out doors, removal. It had been almost a year on the car for what I'm talking about.

so in real life, is it actually textured, or smooth like a piece of vinyl? it's hard to tell from the ebay vendor shots. it also might be the kind of thing that photographs like it's textured, but in person, it's all smooth. i'm asking about the 1080 stuff, since that's the direction people are advising to go.

1080 is easier to work with. Close but not the same. textured but not identical.

1080 is easier, but stretches too easily - this could be either good or bad. Bad because pattern is no longer even when stretched.

Di-Noc isn't recommended for exterior use but many people have used it with great results. Scotchprint 1080 wrap I believe is rated for both indoor and outdoor usage. I would use the one that you think looks better. Di-Noc = satin/flat black while 1080 = high gloss. You can apply a clear coat to the surface to make it appear glossy/wet. Check out this site for some information on di noc

Has anyone here used neffy wrap? Was looking into doing some pieces soon. I know the neffy is an actual material and lacks the adhesive backing. But overall may look better than a vinyl... Pics would be cool too

Was looking at amazon at 1080 and came across their brushed metal vinyl. Anyone have any opinions on this? Like if some one did a blue and gold themed dash? Wouldn't go with my car and NASIOC's probably gonna flame but just wondering if anyone had some ideas for it.

I would like to do the interior of my 11 wrx since my 2.5i got scratched to hell from keys and the dog (especially on the door part). Anyone have a guide or how to or tips?

I have the non di-noc stuff which is just textured black vinyl.

The Internet is your best bet and it's just like a sticker. Peel the back and apply using heat and a squeegee to remove to air bubbles. If you mess up peel it back and reapply, it won't loose any of its sticky properties.

Their is some good videos of people using on their cars. Also, I saw one of a guy crumpling it up, sticking to itself, then he undid it added some heat and it was just like new. It's pretty easy stuff to use.
