How much are people paying for the material and are you buying a full roll (3M website has all the dimensions) or buying the "kit" that somebody has cut from a full roll? I saw a $100 roof kit and thought that was too much.

Id say a 100 for a roof kit is a lil much. Just go directly to 3m dinoc in google. They have package deals.

Cool, although I guess you could buy this... $15+ for a spray paint can is a bit pricey though.

Woops double post. Although I would want to see if plasti - dip makes something like CBR in case I ever decide I don't like it. I may either 3m carbon fiber wrap my interior trim or plasti - dip it black.

Nice. yeah i was thinking about doing my chrome SUBARU emblem on the back CBR or a gunmetal color... just not quite sure how to remount them precisely. maybe just use the marks left by the letters when I take em off to know where to put the 3m tape

Lid needed paint, I got this done for a 12 pack of beer! Looks not too bad. Doesn't look quite as nice as my genuine cf hood, but meh.

I need to pick some of this up and wrap that large piece that goes over the defrost for the dash. Maybe it will help with dag blasted rattle too.

I ended up using the 1080 Scotchptint carbon vinyl from 3M. It is easier to work with than Di-Noc and the finish looks better in my opinion. I just did the JDM radio bezel and center console. I'll probably start there as I don't want to over do it...

So, Old post, I know. Is the black a vinyl or paint? I like the looks. I have wondered if the full cf trim is too much, but this is a good balance.

^^ The guy that used to do Dry Carbon overlays stopped doing it. Thats why people are wrapping the trim now. The black swoosh on the passengers side and console is the OEM finish.
