Meh.
I'm just not a fan of amazingly awesome things in general. I like mediocre crap. I'll take the new Civic over this, thank you.

There are a few things that I like about this car and dislike.
Likes: You can really see the breeding of late model Lamborghins in it. It takes cues from the Reventon, Murcielago, and Gallardo. It's still got crazy Lamborghini style and so far this has been a refreshing reveal considering the negative responses I've been hearing about the FF and the Huayra. 700 ****ing horsepower! Dislikes: When you look at the car as a whole it looks like it would be a Gallardo replacement (but it does have the length / girth of a Murcielago) The interior is so Audi it's not even funny. Dont get me wrong I love Audi interiors and this one has some very very nice looking aspects but I want to sit in it and feel like I'm in a Lambo. All of the black plasticy parts. They look so chinsy and cheap. They would look so much better color matched and I think it would give the car a much better flow. |

Lamborghini is finally going in the right direction. Their emphasis on light weight materials is going to make for some epic cars in the future. This is only the beginning.

Fixed.
Rode in a car driven by my sister's Italian friend while in Malta earlier in the decade, and don't think I've ever been more scared in my life. I swear, his arm was outside the window half the time, flicking people off, and I don't think he understood the concept of lane paint... Back on topic, the revealing pics are more flattering. |

It will sell well. But it's like the rest of the Audi/VW group. Name one car that doesn't look as it should i.e. predictable. And that's what sells. Nissan does the mad Juke, VW does a tall golf Tiquan.
The only unique/unexpected cars from the group are in the Skoda/Seat brands. |

But really. Does any distinctive supercar/hypercar marque completely reinvent their look at anything resembling a regular basis? And don't say Ferrari. Their GTs look like a steady evolution of the same look. Same with the 2+2s (until the FF, which isn't a step forward, and should be the butt of more vomit jokes than the Huayra). And the 458 is a 2010 restyle of the 430, which is a mild redo of the 360, which is a bubbly-90s-shape redo of the 355. And heck, other than one colossal spasm in the 80s, every Aston since forever has looked pretty much the same (and gorgeous). These are all image cars as much as anything, so a big part of the reason why people buy Lamborghinis is that they look like Lamborghinis. Each new car updates or modifies the styling a bit, but the heritage is unmistakable. There are certainly some buyers who buy them for more than the visual drama, but they are the minority. Most buyers want to be SEEN in Lamborghinis, and people have to be able to tell instantly that it's a Lamborghini. Crazy angular spaceship shapes have been Lamborghini hallmarks since the Countach, and each new version fits the style of its day without losing the basic insanity. I'm sure Nick bought his for more than just the looks, but I would be incredibly surprised if the looks weren't a factor in why he decided he wanted a Lambo. |

you know what they say. . . when the doors go up, the panties drop.
![]() really, I owned a matte black H1 open top and Viper ACR. I was sick of constantly repairing the H1 and it was no longer suiting my needs. But I wanted to replace it with something equally outrageous. I decided to sell both vehicles and go for a Murci because it fit my performance needs and the outrageous card. Quote:
Not to mention the fact that there is nothing predictable about the LP-700. Nick |

As soon as I see this, I think "now THAT is a supercar". Ferrari may have the racing pedigree, and more form following function, and if I could afford a Ferrari I would get one, but this is just a different animal. It really makes me think that "supercar" should only refer to a Lambo and probably a Pagani, but that is it.

Parked next to my car, I fully expect it to completely show the difference in age and frankly, blow my doors off. Where as, when I park next to a LP640 they look the same to 99% of the population. Yet have significant differences under the skin. Nick |

video of the Aventador:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm-MS...mbedded#at=165 The more and more I look at this car, from different angles, etc. The more I realize that it looks nothing like the Murcielago. It may be because I get to spend time with a Murci on a daily basis, but the Aventador really date's the previous model. My comparison, at this point, is the equivalent of the evolution from the Miura to the Countach. Nick |

Being a car enthusiast, I agree they look different. However, if you were to put them next to each other I can almost guarantee 85% of the worlds population wouldn't notice the changes.
Hardly Muira to Countach, I would actually say less of a jump than Diablo to Murc. |

I'm not sure who is right, or if anything is being embellished, but if it's really in the 10.5 second range (which the 6.6 0-100 makes sense); it's going to be trapping in the mid to upper 130's, stock. ![]() Nick |

I am going to retract my Muira to Countach and put it at a bigger change than Countach to Diablo or Diablo to Murci. Note that this is a Murci SV and not a 640 car, which is much less agressive. Nick |
