models are
GC/GM/GF- 93-01
GD- 02-07
GR- 08-current

All GD coilovers are interchangable with other GDs, same with GCs. However if you want to put GD coilovers on a GC you need to drill an extra hole for the rears as one of the studs wont line up. fronts mount up fine. GRB I don't think the match GC or GD

edit: I made a mistake, if you want to put GD coilovers on a GC it requires modification.

I know that with the OEM GDB struts on the GC chassis, it sits high. Maybe if you do coilovers like you said and set them either all the way to the lowest point or close to that it will look good. I am not sure. Check out RS25 and search for it, there are some guys that have done it there

You will also have to drill a new hole for one of the studs on the top hat for the rear

that shouldnt be that bad to drill new holes but what were you saying about going to its lowest point like drop it almost all the way down like few inches off the roed?

I mean if you set the coilover to it's lowest point it might just be where you want it on the GC. The GDBs have a taller strut iirc so if you have them at a normal setting for the GDB and then put it on a GC it might look really high

i wont to swap a 98 GC8 EJ20 16v turbo in to my 97 impreza L it should be like a WRX and i also wont to go with a 411 5speed trany fromm what i hear its just as fast as most 6 speeds cars and with a few mods ill be siting at 315 to 340 HP to the wheels for about 6500.00 that why i wont to drop it this year cuz the new motor swap will have to happen next year hope you have an idea of what im doing

I'd actually recommend the EJ207 instead of the EJ20K. They have a semi-closed deck as a opposed to an open deck block. Plus parts availability is better because the newer Japanese STis have 207s as well. And the EJ205 and EJ257 from the states work with the 207 IIRC.

I'd also recommend the 6 speed as well. My friend shattered an RA 5 speed here with one shift. the 6 speeds are much stronger.

For me the ideal swap in the US would be a JDM 207 with a 6 speed, however 257s are much easier to come by.

that is just my 2 cents

This is 8000, but it is also RHD, with Brembos, and bugeye parts. You could sell all of that for a little bit too. Unfortunately it doesn't have DCCD
