Default Cheap way to drop a Legacy?

My friend has a '97 Legacy brighton wagon and it looks like an SUV. A nice cheap drop would be good. Will a 2.5RS suspension fit, I know at least the struts do. Just looking for a drop, doesn't have to handle better. No bouncing or slamming into the bump stops though. Preferably under $150.

The Impreza struts fit the Legacy no problem, but you'll get a bouncy ride because they aren't designed for the Legacy's weight.

I don't think you'll find aftermarket springs for under $150... PDM Racing has the Whiteline's for about $200. Other brands (Eibach, H&R, etc..) are all $250-$300 depending on where you look.

Maybe you could find a set of used Legacy GT springs...

Chris.
