I don't get to hang out here as much as I'd like, but I wanted to make sure you were all invited to join our design contest. Somebody is going to make $5000 designing the shape of a Subaru-powered, mid-engine sports car to be built by Factory Five, and I hope it's a Subaru enthusiast.
The chassis already exists and will be on display at The Mitty, and the whole car is slated to debut at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. If you're good with Photoshop, CAD, pencils, or crayons you might as well submit a design. Click the link for details, and good luck! http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/design/

well the contest is over. and those who are interested should visit factory five's web page to see the winners. i wonder how long it will be before we see a build thread for this new kit car. i hope one of the big subaru buffs will take it on.
sorry to bump this thread but the contest is over and they have a final design for the concept. http://www.factoryfive.com/whatsnew/...18winners.html |

The reaction I've seen from most Subaru people has been;
"wadda you mean there is no AWD?!" I think F5R's mid-engine, rwd, 1800#, build it yoself monster may be outside alot of people's comfort zone. |
