Default good idea...will this work?

ok. heres the deal. Im not sure if i can afford the wrx, so i wanna buy the 2002 2.5 rs and put on a turbo. I also wanna put in stage 3 heads and short block from cobb. Will headers from hks, cusco ect.. for the wrx fit on the stage 3 block for the 2.5 rs. Also, would an upipe fit. So basically im saying that would the turbo setup from the stock wrx fit on a 2002 2.5 rs with stage 3 heads and block from cobb. Like headers from hks like i said before? Thanks

Agreed... your looking @ over $10,000 for all that stuff... WRX is only $5000 more than the RS... And for another $5000, you could have a low 12 second WRX

maybe these are his plans over time... but the answer is still no.

a GC 2.5RS with a WRX engine swap can be had for a little less than a WRX and it is just as legal and even a bit faster. just a thought.

Inorder to make those Japanese headers work you would need a WRX crossmember or a Legacy Turbo Crossmember. But then I don't know if those work on the newer bodystyle.

I'd say....just save a littel while longer a get the WRX

The WRX is also more in insurance and whatnot. Some people just can't afford that payment/month and save the cash from mod money just to pay that off.

You know, a WRX drop-in setup is like $4-6k (or so I've heard). So you could always just drop in the driveline desired and go from there.

One more thing to think about. My insurance (State Farm) does not pay for mods so if you dump 10,000 into your car making it a turbo, if the car is stollen or a total insurance loss, you will only get what the book price is for an RS nothing for the upgrades.
