Default Six Star Motorsports review

I checked and saw that there had not been any type of review recently so I decided to start my own. I have been lurking on the forums for a while but rarely post. I have owned my 02 WRX for about eight years now and dutifully maintained it. I passed 90k miles and made the decision to keep it versus trading it in or selling it outright. That required getting some preventative maintenance completed, which included the timing belt. I checked with several local Chicago land shops while checking into who I would have perform the service.

During that time, I contacted SSM and had several of my questions promptly answered. They worked around my constantly changing schedule and provided me with a timeline of when I should expect my vehicle returned. They kept to the timeline and the car continues to run great. They even took care of my undertray which had come loose and I kept neglecting to fix. While waiting for my ride to pick me up, the staff engaged the customers in discussisions about various projects and even talked about non-Subaru vehicles. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are also a bonus to deal with. I would gladly recommend their shop.

Needed to be repeated.

Rode out to the shop and had a great time seeing all the guys; even got some help fixing some shady stuff on my bike today!

Thanks again guys! Looking forward to a long future with everyone!

Thumbs down I haven't found a shop yet w/good, consistent customer service.

Eh, tried to give them business, but having to call them back several times to get a simple part ordered is not good Then driving out there from the city to have the shop closed in the middle of their normal business hours w/o any sign on the door like "back in 15" or "out to lunch."
Waited around for 35 minutes and called several times.

It's unfortunate, I had spoke to Dewey at an event and I wanted to give the shop some business.

I'd give em 1 more shot.. I think they're "restructuring" & will be much better on the customer service end..... Cuz the mechanics part were never in question.
