Not yet, but when I do it either has to be an H6 or a manual transmission. Thanks though!

You might as well just take all the springs out instead of getting s-techs, the ride will be about the same

Sorry I missed the party at Croutspeed garage this weekend. I really wanted to come pay my last respects to Johnny's WRX.

If anyone is still in "mechanic mode," I'm planning on putting the engine back in my car tonight. Feel free to swing by.

I'll drop by sometime around 6-7 if that works for you.

*I will also need to borrow a red jersey if you have one, and the new ones won't be ready by Wednesday.

Sounds good Nick. I have plenty of red jerseys laying around, though they may be a little big on you.

Graham, thanks for turning me onto Jon!!
Dropped my bug off Friday night and picked her up yesterday afternoon.
I am extremely pleased.
Nice to find someone passionate about their job and it shows in his work!

Sounds like I missed a good weekend of wrenching. I finally have my car back! From that I found out that I don't need to roll my fenders. I need to replace my worn out struts. Suggestions?

1. Don't go to Ramsey...they are evil and will gouge you most likely. I'd start checking regional Craigslist postings (Minneapolis to KC; Omaha to Chicago).

2. Your insurance rates are going to be rediculous if you get a WRX. I know it isn't as cool, but if you are still in high school, I'd go for a nice RS. Still a great car, but you won't have to live in poverty to afford insurance.

3. As long as you aren't a know-it-all d-bag (which you don't appear to be), you will be welcomed into this group with open arms. There is an immense amount of knowledge this group and you'll be able to learn a lot.

4. Being a new driver, I would suggest signing up for the Street Survival School coming up in a few weeks. It really could save your life and is a good opportunity to find out how your vehicle handles in emergy situations while in a safe environment. http://www.streetsurvival.org/
