I would also be interesting in meeting up with some people before summer as my main beer consuming buddy is moving to Texas next month.

Have you autocrossed before? If not, I'd HIGHLY recommend not doing any mods to your car. Do an oil change, bleed the brakes, and check to make sure your helmet is legal...but you will be MUCH better off competing in a stock class.

I agree with this statement fully! I'm much happier competing in my stock LGT than I was in my Stage 2 WRX. Get to know your car first, then decide what needs changed. You'll get much more satisfaction when you add parts that you can see helping your times.

I autocrossed the LGT last year and I have several years of roadracing under my belt both prepping and track-days (3/S and DSM). Even with the roadracing experience I do plan on staying in D Stock for autocross. The LGT is my daily driver and I don't want to mod it too much. My to-do list is preventative maintenance or addressing shortcomings in the stock systems while still remaining in D Stock; so fluids, tires, alignment, bushings, a torn cv-boot, order car numbers, etc.

You've both provided great advice in case a newb reads this.

Install day: Saturday March 31st at Kristi's. 11am-6pm(+?)
Eat before you come and bring a few bucks to donate for grill food. I'll be bringing tools and four jackstands, but bring some of your own just in case. If you have something you want to do on your car, message me so we can plan out what jobs we'll be doing.

This is an awesome opportunity to really get to know other members and get in some wrenching time. Come and learn or share some expertise!

What do you guys think of a mid-March meet with the DSM guys? I accidentally planned the install day for when we were going to have the April Fools Meet.

Hey Guys hope the weather is co-operating with you all. I wanted to share a Subaru love story, and this time its with the dealer here in Nashville.

So last week we had Tornados roll through downtown nashville, i was at work with my company car which had massive hail damage, however my car was at the Subaru Dealership getting some of the underside plastic replaced, during the storm all i could think about how pissssed i was going to be to see the hail damage on my car cause the dealership was less than a mile away from my office so for sure it was going to get beat on..

now i dont know if this is just a story he told me but i took it to heart, when i arrived i talked to the body shop manager and he said that when it started to come down (rain) he ran out in the storm got my car off the lot and brought it in to be protected. because he said i knew how much i loved my car (which he is right) I was really impressed, now im sure they wouldnt have been liable for the dammages during the hailstorm so he had no incentive to get my car other then the fact he CARED! ..

I'm sorry you guys dont get this same care at your dealership...

Ramsey would probably put all of the customer cars out in the hail and bring their personal cars into the bays. They could care less about their customers. Glad you have a dealership that values your business. I am honestly jealous.

You know you want it... well, them really.

PM me if you're interested, I'd hang them on the wall they're so beautiful, but my wife will impale me if I don't at least try to get them out of the basement.

Good advice there! I race in chicago and i was in ST competing with people who have been racing 10+ years! Now SCCA changed the rules and ST has been split into two classes.I'd say just get yourself a set of nice and sticky summer tires and race in the stock class. That and study up the scca rulebook and see what mods and class you want to end up in the future and mod accordingly. (if the local autox here uses the scca rules)
