We usually try to leave Casey's no later than about 8am, so 7:45 or so is probably safe. That gives us plenty of time to hit the driver's meeting at 9.

I'm fairly (99.9999%) certain it's $25, but I don't see it on the website. Bring a few extra $$$ for food

Since it's going to be (probably) rainy I'll probably just bring the car and leave the tires/tools/cooler/CR-V at home especially since we'll have to bail around 3. I think the RT615s are pretty toasted anyway and a wet surface won't be any fun at all on those.

I just got the car aligned, so I'm ready to go I think I need to get some camber bolts for the back, -1.3/-0.8 in the rear instead of the 0 that Epic Engineering recommends, but oh well

I was going to ask if anyone had one, there isn't a lot of cover there... I'll pack my fold up chairs

I love how I talk myself into doing stuff.
You'll be fine, luckily you don't have enough HP to get into too much trouble yet.

That's what you'd think. I got pulled over driving my old Miata for "getting into too much trouble" when it was raining once. The car is super slow, but it can still break traction in certain circumstances.

True I suppose. I checked times from last year, seems like most people were about 1 second off their dry times. Kind of shows how slow the track is to begin with - so that's good.

It's ok to drive slow, I know I will be (at least the first run or 2). I can has all new turny bits!

I should be there. My foot will deal with it. (note: I crunched my foot pretty hard this week on a kitty litter tub and it's been kinda painful to walk and double clutch like I should)

Heads up, I can't make it. Alarm didn't go off and the car and I weren't ready enough to just run out the door.

Edit: I'm more lamer than Pete today...

PS-Sorry again Ed.

That...was...AWESOME!!!!!!! I'm pumped for tomorrow now.

What time do we want to meet at the gas station off E. University, and who all is meeting there?

It's okay, John. I ended up driving Rob's car and it was a blast! Well, until I broke it. It's all good now, though.

Oh, and

Why is there a vagabond wearing a Subaru flag? He must be high on meth or doing tricks for alcohol.

Hmm. Southeast 14th? I couldn't get registered for the DMVR forum since I only use gmail, so I never go there.

I'm guessing they are talking about one at 4801 Northeast 14th Street, Des Moines, IA. That's the only one on Google near 80/35. That's also a long ways north for me to back track.

If you're up for it Graham, I'm still in for the Kum & Go at:
5970 Morning Star Court
Pleasant Hill, IA 50317

Departure time for Osky at 7:15, so meet up a few minutes before to take care of your business.

It's about the same difference for me so I will just meet you at Kum&Go and we can go from there.

I'm all gassed up, have kartboy hangers on now to avoid bumper burn and I am about to change my oil and swap my stock wheels back on in preparation for tomorrow.

I've got my helmets packed and I am bring a camera system that people can try to rig up depending how much ghetto engineering they want to do to mount it somewhere; its a friends and its designed for sport bikes and 4-wheelers so the mounting options for a car aren't very good. I'll bring duct tape and zip ties

Is there anything else I should plan to do to my car to prep it or anything else I should plan to bring?

If it's anything like today, you'll maybe want a rubbermaid tub to store all of the stuff you pull out of your car for the race. I'd also suggest some warm, waterproof clothes and some towels for you and your car.
