hey i'm throwing on a perrin inlet so anyone that knows how to do it and wants to help out or anyone that is planning to do a silicone inlet and wants to learn feel free to drop by and help out

4-5 hours later - got it done with only a couple busted knuckles. garden shears were very helpful in cutting off the stock inlet connections, they were all i had around but worked like a charm, way better than pliers.

got it done, kinda. took forever and the crank case vent is plugged with a bolt and a j-fitting for the moment till i get the right hoses that didn't come with my perrin inlet, test fitted the aps tmic and looks like it will fit better than the sti one as far as brackets line up, and got the samco radiator hose on, lots of trimming to get it to fit and not hit the ps pully or the fan blades, but i'm keeping the original one in the trunk just in case.

i best not see anyone from perrin anytime soon or i'll cuss em out, that thing was a pain to get on, solid 4 hours of me dinking around under the hood. by pass hose was especially a pita. but hey at least the weather was awesome. not even a jacket and i'm from fl, i'm starting to like it outside again

ah, so that was you in the black wrx sibes, you live in belmont?, someone in a Chevy HHR honked too, probably one of the Belmont girls i gave a free ride to but maybe someone on here

oh yah craig, i meant when i posted the thread that i was heading out to do it then, posted and headed out to work on it

@subys r us.
i notice my back hurts more now, but that might be from standing over the engine bay for 4 hours . i admit if i didn't have mad ADD i might have gotten it done faster. i need to top off the coolant and redo the vacuum lines when i get some hose from autozone. without a tune i think it's been proven that they just make the intake sound a little louder, as the ecu adjusts and tries to get back to normal so all gains are lost. it's debated though.

also i really wish my stock inlet was torn or ripped or something so i would feel like i did something even more productive. oh well.

oh, and Belmont has great parking compared to king henry, why do you think i was parked on the street? lol, can't even find a spot within 2 blocks sometimes, so i keep the long-board in the trunk sometimes.
