Default Running car with no catback?

I'm in the process of installing my stromung cat back and have run into a few problems. Well actually only one problem which is corrosion. The bolts connecting the midpipe to the cat were rusted solid. I broke one trying to remove it and the other one got completely stripped and had to be cut out.
Anyway will it hurt the car in any way to drive it around without the catback until I can get some new bolts? I could care less about the noise, and the fumes shouldn't be a problem. It doesn't seem lie it should hurt anything other than a loss of backpressure. But would this cause the car to run like crap?
thanks

Open headers? That thing is gonna be LOUD! I would worry about the fumes, they could seep up through something and then nighty-night, bad thing when you're going 60 down a highway. Also, those super hot exhaust gases might melt some important wires or anything else under there, so that's something I would worry about as well. But it's your car, your call.

It will be fine. Dont do it for long because your gonna have a lot of people laughing at you. Just to clarify, you dont have anything on the exhaust from the cat -> back? If you only have up to the cat you'll be fine. If it's just open headers you can have problems.

you'll be fine, it'll just be LOUD as hell, don't run open headers because you risk burning a valve.

My brother did the same thing with his Honda. One night, the exhuast just fell off. It ended up somewhere in the middle of the southbound lane on the Ryan expressway. He ran the car with no cat-back for a month or so, let's just say it was loud and annoying. The thing is that it sounded better than most ricemobiles, except for the constant backfire when shifting gears.

If he ever gets the transmission working on that thing, I'll make sure to take a sound clip of it.

Got the exhaust all hooked up. Didn't drive the car more than a few feet to get it off the ramps and back into the garage for the night. Yes it was loud as hell. I picked up some bolts first thing this mornig and had the exhaust on in about 5 minutes. Growlllllll Dam that sound is great when you first start her up with the stromung catback on. Hardly noticeable at highway speed either. me is happy
