Arrow Impreza Supercharger...

What do you all think about this? Think it would actually work/give you some sort of HP gain? Sounds kinda crappy to me.......

Actually, if this is like other electric SC kits i've seen, they do "work" (in theory), unlike the Tornado/vortex/crappy-ass-air-swirler-dealie.

However, they are unlikely to produce more than say 1psi of "boost", and they'll also restrict airflow in the intake. The restriction they cause is likely to cancel any possible gain of that 1psi of "boost". These things have been around for years, but did you ever notice that you've _never_ seen one in action, anywhere?

For $100 (the retail price on that... item), you'd be better off making a DIY intake and getting a K&N filter, or putting up a bit more for a premade intake and K&N or Amsoil filter. Or just saving up for an exhaust.

Besides, gimme a freakin break, this is one of the answers to their "FAQ"....

> Will I actually feel a boost?
Kinda. You won't feel an actual "boost," but your car will go faster.

Nice. Lamers (there's an old term, eh? hee hee).

jeddy has it right. Back when I was on a supra forum someone had one of these and measured the reduction in intake size. He did some calcuations and found that even if the device was able to produce 1 psi the amount of air flow would still be less than that of an open pipe.

Not even counting the fins and such the intake was reduced in size something like 35-45%
