Yep, there are 4 bolts that hold that heat shield on. Remove them, disconnect the O2 sensor wire and slide the heat shield out from on top of the exhaust.

Installed all my stuff today on a 2011 WRX with 1200 miles on it. Took about 45 minutes to do the shifter, all the bushings and the trannny bushings. I feel sorry for everyone having to use a floor jack. Using a lift at work is the only way to go. If anyone has any questions let me know. I know there is not a lot of write ups on the 2011. The shifter feel is awesome, couldn't be happier!

Just curious, did you lift the car just enough to get under it and still used a floor Jack to support the tranny or did you lift it higher? If so, how did you support the tranny? I have access to a lift and wasn't sure about this.

Most shops have a tall screw jack to use for support when changing mounts or supporting engine or trans during removal. That is most likely what he used.

Last two have made final payment. I'll ship their boxes in the morning, and then close this thread down. For those of you with an STi I'm working on Kartboy to see if we can do something for the 6mt in the near future.
