Random Po302 cel..... help.

Got my h/g's, timing belt, waterpump, clutch done about 5k ago. Ever since, i have been getting a random cylinder #2 misfire code. Usually at idle. The mechanic has checked it, and last time said it was a bad plug. Still getting it though. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Its an '02 ts.

is there oil on the spark plug? how's the valve lash? run injector cleaner through it lately?
you can switch spark plug wires to see if the code follows that. you can switch injectors to see if the code follows.

Try/chk all yarrgh's suggestions as they are all easy and free to do, then go from there.

Update! switched injectors , switched plug wires, new plug, reset ecu...still getting code! What next? new coil pack?
