Default Flywheel Confusion

OK Guys.....

I've been searching this problem for a couple of hours and I'm not getting anywhere.....

I'm about to swap an '07 WRX engine into a '99 Forester. The only question I have is.....will the WRX flywheel and clutch fit the Forester tranny?

I already know that both trannys have the same O.D.(25.2mm) and the same number of teeth(24). This makes me believe the the spline shaft isn't an issue, but what about the overall diameter of the flywheel? Is the WRX flywheel a larger diameter?

Any comments are good ones!

Thanks...

Jeff

The bigger issue is are they "push" or "pull" type clutches.

Both the '06-'07 WRX and '99 Forester have the push style clutch......

you'll be fine. Same flywheel, same clutch action, same clutch....
