Default Avoid Warner Motors in Hummelstown, PA

Wanted to give a heads up on the rude customer service I received today. My wife and I went to Warner Motors so my wife could test drive their 07 STI and they refused us a test drive. This car has been sitting there for six months and hasn't sold and now we know why. On the website it brags about having a stage 2 tune by Jorge. The reason we couldn't test drive the car is because it's been modified. I then point to my car and say I have a stage 2 tuned 09 WRX the guy said it doesn't matter, no test drives. We are not kids looking to test drive a car that we cant afford. We went with bank approval and the intent to buy. No one will buy a car they can not test drive especially from a place that treats customers like jokes.

On one hand, of course they can say no to test drives. On the other hand if they told you in an inappropriate manner than I'd be upset. The least they could do would be for them to drive it with you in the car or something.

This reminds me of when the first STi came out in 04 and my dad and I went to check out a wrx. The salesman was bragging about how there were no test drives, even as a passenger...and they wouldnt sell the car to anyone under 30 bc it was too fast

Thats weird I test drove my car before I bought it there and the guy was really nice about it too, but it was completely OEM. I dont know what mods have to do with test driving thats stupid...but I agree, I wouldn want a car I cant test drive/ride in...thats pretty fishy.

maybe they know something is wrong with it, so when someone buys it sans test drive they make them sign something saying they know it is extensively modded so they are not liable when it blows up shortly thereafter.

only thing is, any reputable dealership wouldn't even sell a car like that. I work at a chevy dealership and when they take cars like that in on trade they go straight to the auction.

The Guy was a dick about it. My wife asked first while I was looking at the car. He dismissed her because she's a girl. Then I approached him and said she would like to test drive it. He was very snippy and asshat like. Ill post the rest when I get home

I also know the cars been there for 6+ months. It was there when I started looking for my car. I actually posted about the dealership and if anyone had any experience with them back on Dec 30th.

Pretty sad considering the entire description of the car on their website is all the mods, so it would seem they are marketing it toward the enthusiast. I mean your average person isnt gonna know what a groupN lateral link is or who Jorge @ P&L is.

but thats beside the point, what were you doing looking at a Subaru when you could have bought this gem

Lol that wasn't there when we showed up. You're right about them bragging of the mods. I figured it was tuned by Jorge then it had some good quality work done to it. I mean I pulled up in a nice Subaru looking to buy another Subaru.

At a minimum they should let you ride along while one of the employees drives the car. Not letting the car be driven before purchase just screams that something is wrong with it.

Maybe they just want to keep it on their lot forever.

When we asked for a test drive I assumed he was coming. My guess is something in it is a ticking time bomb. Dorky enough I had on my enthusiast Subaru hoodie on. Not the bro one either. Just has a big ass Subaru symbol on the chest.

No offense to the salesman but he would of had a hard time driving. He was pushing north of 300. I didn't even ask to drive it... wanted my wife to fall in love with it so we could add another Subaru to the family.

I remember my first test drive of a WRX at the ripe old age of 18. I found an 06 WRX in UGM with a K&N intake and probably a downpipe sitting at a Saturn dealership. Tune? Who knows.

When the guy asked me if I wanted to test drive it, my eyes lit up and my pants tightened. I got in the drivers seat, started it up and pulled out of the parking lot onto the service road. That 6 second sprint to 60 mph turned my brain into jello, allowing my mouth to muster out, "holy sh-" cutting off before finishing that sentence, because I had the salesman in the car with me. He said, "yeah, this car gets that kind of reaction all the time." I did not buy because it was a bit out of my price range and I don't like the hawkeye look.

CN: If they don't let you test drive a car, falcon punch them in the gunt.

Wow, that was so hot....say it again.

But it reminds me of a really funny storry. A friend of mine and his wife to go look at a car, he drops his wife off at the door because its raining and he goes and parks the car. He walks in and his wife is pissed off and says let's leave. They had called ahead because the dealership had a fairly exclusive car at the time. They wanted to be sure they wouldn't have any problems. So anyways, she says really loud "they won't give me the time of day". So a man quickly walks up and introduces him self (walks past the wife). She walks out in the rain. The sales man says, you must be Dr. Cooke. My friend says, no she just walked out the door. I guess she's not buying the AMG we talked discussed. Bye.

He said they called for 3 days trying to regain the sale, she wouldn't go back.

Just sayin....

Don't disrespect the ladies.

HAHA. I guess now that is true. I remember when I was 3 and my brother was 5 our parents took us when they went to buy an Integra. They got a better deal because the dealership wanted us out of there.

Awesome. Chauvinistic ******* salesmen can . Guys like that are why I bought my green Camaro instead of an equivalent Formula Firebird. The Pontiac salesguy thought I was a clueless idiot. The Chevy salesguy tried to upsell me a Grand Sport Corvette instead, since they had one coming in later in the week and I'd have to wait 6-8 weeks for the 1LE to be built and delivered.
