There is a Bronze and a Gold. The Gold is pretty bright IMO, yet, I'm not a bling kind of guy, either.

I'm in the process of selling my 2005 v7 and will get a 2013 wrx. I own the sparco in 17s but the buyer wants them with the car. I've been reading threads here and there and starting to look into my future wheel setup for the new ride.

Since I won't lower this new car I am thinking about going with 18 inches and still debating the offset... ET 48 seems small a bit given the wider body. Too bad they don't make those in ET 40 or 35 (not sure if et35 fits without rolling the fenders or any rubbing)

These look really nice. Anyone have a 11+ hatch with white on SWP?

Search "dgm bronze sparco" on google images... this probably has the best lighting to show how they look:

I bet the bronze Assetto Gara wheels would look really nice on a DGM 3g.

Has anyone replaced the Sparco center caps with a plain black or otherwise more subtle cap?

Nope, looked into it. They are a 63mm most on the market are 61mm. I called tire rack and sparco had the new ones on back order indefinitely. That tells me they stopped making them. So I've not contacted oz racing yet who makes the wheels but will if need be.

I had wanted to get some blank center caps and install my own carbon fiber pleaids logo stickers. This the reason for looking in to it.

Word. What a pain. I just ordered some black stickers to go over the caps from amazon.

Oops, totally missed this thread's updates. Anyways, I guess if they are the same type of bronze, that's actually quite nice. Do all the bronzes come with blue center caps?

Awesome, any idea how much brake clearance they have on the 16x7? My wife is considering a base Impreza commuter and I'm looking at 16s that will fit 4 pots if I move them over from my car. What size brakes are on the Fozzy?

Tire Rack lists ZERO 16s for 06-07 WRX, but I think that's because those came with 17s and they assume nobody will want to run smaller than stock wheels. Makes finding wheels that will fit quite a chore. I may just have to special order some Team Dynamics wheels in an offset I know will fit, since they provide PDFs of their inside spoke profiles so I can verify fitment.

Look under winter wheels when you search. They will clear 4 pots.

Default Anyone using 245/40-17 tires with these 17x 7.5 wheels?

I'm considering a summer wheel/tire for my 2012 WRX Hatch.

How is the fit of a 245/40 on this 7.5 rim?I'd rather go minus with a slightly smaller diameter tire for better a low end bite. Anyone with RED wheels?

The red wheel image looked good on a dark gray hatch, haven't seen this combo..

Yes you can mount a 245/40-17 but its trade off. Yes it's a wider tire but becaue it's pinched you're not using all of the contact patch.

Also because of the pinch you can't use the full stiffness of the side wall that allows the tire to deflect more under hard cornering.

Stick to a .... For the best contact patch
225/45 on the 7.5"wheel
235/45-40 for 8" wheel
245/45-40 for 8.5"
255/40 for 9"

All tire manufacturers list specs. A rim range- then the optimum "measured rim" that is the optimum for that particular tire construction.
