Default 2009 STi Brembo Brakes

Hey Everyone,

Well my plans to create a 2010 STi Legacy have been put on hold for the time being so I am putting my great setup up for sale. These have less than 15k miles on them and are in excellent condition.

These will include all four calipers, rotors, pads and lines.

The calipers are a direct bolt-on for the 2008+ WRX, 2009+ Forester and 2010+ Legacy GT, you would just need to have the rotors re-drilled to a 5x100 bolt pattern or swap to STi hubs(which would require changing wheels as well).

$2,000 shipped I will NOT part these out unless there are simultaneous buyers of the front and rear setups.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks!

Ben

Well I'd like to sell them together so I guess if one of you wants the fronts and the other wants rears and we can work out a price then I would consider doing it.

The last thing I want to do though is be stuck with the just the fronts or just the rears because then I can't even use them if I wanted haha.

Did you happen to read my post above yours? I am not going to part these out unless there are buyers of the fronts and rears at the same time.

Thanks

Yes the calipers are direct bolt on. You would need to use the 09 STi rear rotors and drill them for 5x100. They have different backspacing than the 04-07. At least this is the case on the STi and the 2010 legacy GT, I assume since your rear suspension is the same it would also be the case unless your parking brake setup is different.

There is also a lip on the inside of the rotor that has to be machined off. Plus drilled for 5x100 then it's good to go. the parking brake is the same.

Is this specific to the wrx do you know? what does the lip interfere with on the wrx?

Thanks for the info.

Yes on the rear brake rotor there is a lip that has to be machined off to fit on the wrx not sure about the other models. It interfers with the spacing if not removed. With the lip still in place it will not seat against the hub correctly.

Would i be able to use 04 sti replacement rotors, something slotted etc. rather than use 09 sti rotors and have to drill them? the lip has to be machined off either way i'm assuming, no getting around that but the rotor shoudnt have to be an 09sti right?

You would be able to use 04 sti fronts. As for the rears I am less confident in an answer because the lip machining was news to me. My understanding is the 08+ has a wider parking brake band so the spacing is diff as a result.

I'd like to see this lip that needs machining. Maybe someone else will have more info.

Here is a link that explains the rear Brembo issue.

I may have overlooked and misread some info. After rereading some of the stuff other than the rear dust shield it should bolt directly on.
