exactly. Drag racing an R160 with a spool, you can get away with it. Differentiating the tq will explode the spiders lol. That and factory lsd will be leaving peg leg strips at the power levels the 35R can support.

The r160 is weaker than the r180 obviously but is not that weak for drag racing. People break them because they can't drive, they drop the clutch or do stupid stuff. I have about 30 passes on my stock r160 and axles, coolrex trapped 137mph with his stock r160. You need to preload the clutch guys, also r160s are cheap so if it breaks who gives a f.

um, who cares what you're VF39 has done?!!! a car is in the 8's on an R160

I said the CAN work in drag racing. The constantly repeated abuse on a road course is QUITE different.

Lol why does everyone thinks I have a VF39? I have 6 passes on my green with 1.6 60's and a total 63k miles on my r160. I wasn't refering my comment to you it was to Jeff who broke two r160 with a TD04. Coolrex had a 35r and at least my car runs. And I said is not that weak for DRAG racing, I didn't even mention ROAD racing

kpad,

i responded to your PM, but might as well post it here too....

The plan as of right now is to only sell turbo kits....not pieces. IE you wont be able to buy just the header....since everything is vband only nothing will work with 2bolt flanges.

Kenny has a full time plus job so a high rate of production just isnt possible. the kits will be low supply so its not cost effective for kenny to do piece meal turbo kits and put in different flanges in every spot for every customer.

thanks
ron

2 ways you win

1 - my car never gets done

2 - my car breaks on the track

You played with the G4 yet? how much is it? is it a plug n play to the subie harness...full standalone....or available for both?

whats the hold up? i guess your waiting for kenny to find the time? dont make excuses...do work!

drive your sti instaed of flying, drink water out of the fountain and bring a couple cases of ramen noodles and hotdogs...

budget build? tighten up that budget!

I just told you the hold up.

1 - cost

2 - time

I dont fly to LA, i drive. The hotel is ~$70 night for thurs, fri, sat $210 + $85 in gas (i fill up with 95 oct).....so $300 each trip....$600 month without any food, drink, etc.

So its cost me probably ~$4000 just to go work on my car.....now add in the ppg box, fuel cell, motor build, turbo kit....not exactly a budget build. easily gonna be over $20k

Ill drive out from jersey, we'll work on your car, and ill go beat on crys and kelly before driving back to jersey.

Gotta bring cots and sleep in kennys shop.

Buy beer by the case. See if kenny has a grill and we'll live on burgers and hot dogs for a couple days.

If I don't get some EFR love soon I'm just gonna put the Link in the car and try my hand at tuning it on the stock engine and to test out all the external crap I plan on wiring up before I drop the good stuff in. I got the Link with the plug and play harness adapter that fully replaces the factory ECU but from what Miles at Fine Line Imports tells me, you can run the Link in tandem with the stock ECU but you would need to wire it in. Prices start @ $1700 for the wire-in box. The replacement board versions are about a grand.

Crystal and I will be waiting at the gates at Fontana looking for your ride I'll bring the race gas
