I have a 705 credit score. never missed a payment on anything. ive had multiple car loans for long enough periods of time. i go to get a car loan now. they wont give me one.
unless i want 9% and half the amount im looking for. total BULL S**T if you ask me. they say my credit history isnt "strong" yet. well to make it stronger one needs to get another loan to help build it right? but we wont give you a loan. so you need a cosigner. which normally not a big deal id get my dad to. but now they want his financail records since 1909. for a small loan? that he is only co signing (the back up). he is self employeed kind of hard to say i make X amount. he also has a 720 score or so. i make enough to cover the loan payment 6 times in a month. so really the bottom line is now that im going to go through the biggest fit in history in the branch managers office tomorrow. wish me luck ![]() if anyone has a hook up at a bank, credit union or wants to be my co-signer this would be the time to step forwardsidenote i shall have a car soon. this is just a loan for my DD. the weekend car will be paid for cash ![]()

where'd you go? credit score is only a number. You could have a bankruptcy and a 760 and hear the same thing.
It is easy to get high 700's when you are younger too. |

i understand all that. but im trying to keep my score up and make it a stronger line of credit. but no one is willing to give me a loan. i went to america first (had 2 car loans, 1 personal w/ them) and mountain america. both the same answers.

If the car is over 8 years old, that's just how it is. Go to a credit Union. **** it, go to America First. They don't give a ****, and with a 705 credit score you should be in the 5-6% range.
Getting a loan from a bank is ghey. Seriously, go to a credit union. |

my personal bank (central bank) will give me a loan at 11% but will actually give me the loan.
the car is a 2007. so its not old at all. the loan amount is well under the nada value (which they use) |

america first is a credit union, that is where they went.
They have been getting really wells fargo ish these last couple years there. It used to be you walk in and ask for money and they ask how much and hand it over. You have to be a 760 to get the lowest rates there anymore. Used to be a 700. |

I heard a commercial on the radio about America First saying they have 1 billion dollars to give out in loans and they will work with everyone, so much for that!

Hmm,
I think it must be your ugly face... Just a guess though, I've never met you in RL... J/K, calm down. Go right up to the manager and punch him in the face all "Way of the Gun" style. |

740 credit here and 4.2% interest at a bank. Not a credit union.

With a 700 or better you really shouldn't have a problem, jp( the finance manager) at my dealership might be able to help

I've always had good luck with America First, hell they approved me for a car loan up to $50,000, of course that might be due to my good history with them and my 785 credit score.

I work for UCCU, i just do their IT stuff so not much help in the loans department. Credit scores are only part of it and really they are more concerned about debt to income ratio now since the last 2 years there have been a ton of delinquency on loans and repossessions. I actually have a loan through University credit union for my wifes car and it's a good rate. We are usually completive with most but since we are a small credit union we tend to be little more picky.
