didn't BMW get the memo? F# is too confusing, people may mistake this new BMW for a ford truck and buy it accidentally instead of a ford truck!

This pertains to be interests. No more bangle inspired BMW is a good thing. Back to the basics of "understated beauty" of the old days.

Why can't BMW use sequential numbers like Subaru? (S202, S203, etc) Instead of picking random a$$ numbers.

Big deal; it will still be overpriced, heavy and have technical problems that will cause its US mechanics nightmares because all the diagnostic equipment and manuals will be in German.

*troll off*

style is completely based on taste, but I like these less than the bangle designs.

as far as numbering, they used to name them after the engine size.

these days I think they just have a random number generator, or they have an old lady sitting in a dark room that pulls bingo balls from a tumbler.

F30 is the chassis code, not an indicator of anything else like engine displacement.

You mean how Subie went from GC to GD to GH/GR for the Impreza range from the 90's to now. What's next the "GT" chassis?
