Forgive my Miata ignorance, what's a b-package?

The only thing I know is you want a '94+ to get the 1.8 vs. the 1.6, and you want one with a LSD out back. Or, if you plan to be silly like me, you can get the 2.0 bottom end out of a Kia (forgot which one, guess the little SUV thing) and bolt your 'worked' Miata head to it....... then I guess it doesn't matter if you bought a 1.6 or a 1.8! Otherwise, I know nothing about them other than they're cheap, reliable, rear-wheel drive convertible fun machines.

lol, yeah I saw some of those swaps. Holy hell Batman. But I'm imagining that would have a rather severe impact on the handling of said Miata. Turbos are lighter

From what I've gathered, make sure it's a 1.8 and the rest is mechanical condition. For some reason I thought they all had lsd. Apparently the ones in the later 90's have some chassis bracing that's helpful if you can swing the extra $$, but I doubt it'll make a diff for me.

Did someone say redonkulous? Hmm, I may be ordering tires sooner than I thought Esp. if prices are speculated to go through the roof.... stupid earthquake tsunami thingy.

Reminds me of one of my fav quotes from a Skip Barber instructor.... "A squeeling tire is a happy tire".

i love skyline drive, but large group drives make me nervous. it was tough enough keeping everyone together on the way down to pence and with that many cars together the odds of something going wrong go way up. Organizing group drives is banned from the NESIC section due to lots of accidents.

leaning towards the garage tonight. cold today, and chance of rain after 7.

You know, I was gonna say, "Just by some tires made in the USA.", then I realized that the good ones are all made overseas.

And the funny thing is I actually found a set in my searching this morning that were made in America--and now I can't remember which ones they were. Bah!

That's ok though, I'm leaning toward Hankook Ventus V12's. No idea where they are coming from.

B package is trim level. I believe you get the torsen diff with it and a few other factory options.
