Just met the owner of Reynolds Subaru at the light of 29 and hydrualic...he was rocking a stg 2 2011 STI...Seemed really cool. Told me if I Ever needed anything to let him know!

Went to Holliday Lake State Park today for the picnic. It's a beautiful park, and a nice, scenic drive down VA 20.

Sadly, only 2 of us showed up, me and the guy from Richmond who organized it, but we made the best of it. We'll have to try it again next year!

I'm a new owner of a 2011 DGM WRX and hope to attend a Friday meet soon. Having somehow failed to spend absolutely everything on the car (and getting it to Stage 2), I just gave Crutchfield some business by replacing the head unit and front speakers. Anyone interested in the OE ones I took out?

is it the nav unit? I would be interested if its the oem navigation one. What head unit and speakers did you go with?

'Fraid it's not the Nav unit. Went with an Alpine with SiriusXM (still trying to decide if that was a waste of money) and Kicker speakers. Sounds great. Only problem so far is that the Alpine lacks manual tuning; for AM and FM, it just picks up the next station with a signal strong enough to pick up. Maybe ok in theory, but driving all around the near outside of C'ville it wouldn't find 1260 AM, though it did in the middle of town, suggesting that on the road it'll miss some that are actually there....

Hey guys. My 02 wrx (90k miles) is running into a bunch of problems. I think I may need a new throw out bearing. Whenever I let off the throttle with the clutch engaged I get this almost grinding noise. It's been going on ever since Brown put a Primitive racing flywheel and ACT OEM replacement clutch on a few summers ago, but recently is getting a lot louder. Any thoughts? I'm not too stoked on Brown. Anyone else in town I should look at? That a ton of electrical problems are driving me nuts like a pirate with a steering wheel belt buckle.

Does it do it when you disengauge the clutch too? Because on mine i put a spec stage 2+ in and now I get a droaning noise on decel with clutch engauged with no throttle (goes away when I put clutch in). Sounds like we have the same issue. Ive been thinkin bad thowout bearing also. And what electrical issues?

Yeah that's pretty much the same scenario. It just worries me a bit as it gas gotten a lot louder lately.

Electrical issues include left sided dash lights out, cruise control out, front passenger window control out, wipers do not work in intermittent mode. Lame I know.

Your spidy senses are correct--Brown's is def not the place to go. I won't go in to details, but long story short, had warranty work done (only reason Brown's saw my car). Ended up having to get Sub of America to step in and refund my money. Yeah. Anyways, Cole's Import does good work and they see WRX's all the time.

Mine has gotten louder too but havent had the time to replace it.

Are you talking about on the cluster? because there are many lights in the back of it that can be replaced and are cheap. FP window switch may be that issue and the wiper issue is probably the wiper switch that has gone bad. Im sure its just age affecting things.
