I know what springs and tires I'm putting on FYI.

Maybe I'll ask Cotten; or he'll chime in.

Dug deep today and found one boost leak, and one probable intake leak.

Boost leak was due to a short vacuum/boost hose that had slid off some sort of little plastic valve(?) near the alternator. Not sure what the thing does, but it has the words "TO E/G" on it, and is spliced into the middle of a hose that goes between the intake manifold and someplace down under the manifold. I'll have to get a picture of it, I guess...

sure. i don't invite the whole group anymore since the last facebook change made it a PITA. i can't make a group event, have to make it on my own and then select each person in the group individually. used to be able to just make a group event and automatically invite everyone

edit: and of course i finally just find the option for it.

A little nippy but the 8 pounds of fajitas I ate made up for it.

I second that, but the hot and spicy Pollo Loco and Tecate beer in the warm restaurant helped a lot.

here's the current track map

and here's video of the last race. i was in #8 so you don't see me very long.

So my buddy (cville local, but not a regular Nasioc'er...) is leaking oil in a bad way from his car, so badly its hard to tell where from...looks to be coming from the cam gear (?) cover area?

In any case, he is looking for someone or a shop who knows their stuff to diagnose and advise on his bleeding WRX ('02)

suggestions?

If he just wants to find the source of the leak, and can get the car up high enough to crawl under the engine bay, he could clean up the leaking oil as best he can with a rag, then spray athlete's foot powder from a can all over the bottom of the engine. Start it up, run the engine for a bit, shut it off, crawl under and look for the oil streak(s).

I think repair shops put ultraviolet dye in the oil and look for the leak with a black light...
