Default Spied :- Nissan Sunny/Almera Sedan in India

Quote:
Nissan Sunny/Almera sedan made itís first Indian appearance. Autocarindiaís reader caught this upcoming C-segment sedan from Chennai roads. Developed on Nissan versatile (V-) platform, this sedan is already launched in China under Nissan Sunny label. Nissan Sunny is named as Almera in Thailand, so we exactly donít know about Nissanís branding strategy for Indian market. We expect Nissan Sunny will be called as Nissan Almera in India.

Nissan Almera will debut in India during this Diwali (September/October 2011) and will have to face fierce competition from Mahindra-Renault Logan, Tata Indigo Manza, Maruti Swift Dzire, Volkswagen Vento, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Verna and Chevrolet Aveo. Nissan Sunny/Almera will reach 170+global market in due course of time.

Under the bonnet hood, Nissan Almera may have two engine options, one petrol and diesel engine both with same capacity (1.5ltr). The petrol engine may be a new entrant in India but the diesel motor is already present here in Nissan Micra Diesel and Mahindra Logan.
Nissan is expected to price Nissan Almera in Rs 4.85 Ė Rs 6.10lakh price bracket.
