Default my day at Ziptie Dynowerks... (official numbers inside)

Just got home after a day on the dyno. I've been waiting a long time to unlock the potential of my car and I finally got around to it. Raab was great and worked hard to make sure everything was ready to be tuned. Followed by Jesse (904bum) laying down the smoothest tunes I've ever had, which isn't saying a lot since I've never had some crazy set up before, but everyone that I've given a ride to so far (about 6 people) cant believe how smooth it is. The car pulls like a freight train through every gear. But driving home in the bottom end of the RPM band was very smooth and very nice as well. All in all I'm VERY happy with the numbers we made and wouldn't hesitate to send anyone to Ziptie for work on their car, a tune, etc etc.

Also, i should mention that the e85 map was cut short because of my 850cc injectors on the last pull they were in the 95% injector duty range so if I decide not to sell the car I will put 1000s in and see what we can do!

Event: dyno pull
Location: Ziptie Dynowerks 2727 West Temple Salt Lake City, UT
Ambient Temp: 50ish
Elevation: 4500
Weather: cloudy, but comfortable
Tires: Michelin Pilot Sports. 18inch
Car: 2007 STi
Tuner: Jesse V. (904bum) @ Ziptie Dynowerks
Dyno Info: Mustang Dyno!
Transmission: Stock 07 6speed.
Gear: 4th
Peak HP/TQ 1.15correction factor: 378 pump91 (we detuned it to 357 because there was no need to push it on 91 when we were also doing e85) and i forgot the tq for 91.....
428hp and 397tq e85 (ran out of injector)
Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: 2011 sti cobb stg2 with intake makes 230
Target Boost: 19pump 24e85
Engine/Power Modifications: DOM3xtr, 272 cams, ssautochrome FMIC, perrin blow thru tube, 850cc injectors, walbro 255, turboback exhaust w/ resonator, grimmspeed ebc, ebay headers (still dont know if they are helping or hurting), STOCK TGV, STOCK HEAD
Driveline Modifications: cobb short shift.
Suspension Modifications: h&r springs

I dont want this to turn into a this person VS that person or this tuner VS that tuner thread so please be on your best behavior

check out their website: http://ziptiedynowerks.com/
check out their facebook: Ziptie Dynowerks

and this saturday March 26 for those of you that aren't attending lap battle there is a Utah Pace Dyno Day being held. Stop by and watch the show or see what kind of power your car puts down!

I'll be posting up pics soon. and hopefully i can figure out how to get the video onto youtube.

lmk if you have any questions!

i lost my best video

well they day after i talked to you at element i moved the knock sensor to the back right of the intake manifold that usually holds some useless metal peice. it seems to be the perfect location so far..

Jesse also tuned with a stethoscope though so he could hear any knock. my gas map and e85 feel great...

if its a xt-r dom3 they will only put a 10cm hot side on them anymore. They had to weld a flange on the back side to fit a 8cm or 7cm and they all crack so they stopped doing it.

Jesse would have all that but i dont know how comfortable he is posting that.... but ask him!
the wonderful people at solid autoworks did my cams, pistons, bearings, springs and retainers, rods, when it burned up a piston ring last year

I don't have the logs from the pulls, I didn't save em . If I had them i'd post them up for you just didn't save em . The 91 tune i couldn't get any more torque safely because we ran into det, i was able to push the hp up but no more torque. The E85 map was the exact opposite, it was just limited by fuel/tgv's.
