Default intake & CEL

Last week my Check engine light came on. I was cruzing up a hill at about 4500 rpm's when the bugger lit up. I did'nt drive it for a couple of days as I went out on a business trip. Upon my return, i checked it , and it was still coming on. So i called the dealer, as it's still under warranty, and told them the problem. I did leave out the part about the Cobb tuning Intake and Borla catback. Anyway here's what happened. I took off the Cobb and put on the stock unit on to bring it into the dealer. Well, after the job was complete, i turned on the car, and what do ya know...no CEL!! I drove it around for the day and later that night put the Cobb back on. Still no CEl. It's been over a week now with hard driving and everything, and still no CEL. What do you think happened? Any info would be greatly appreciated...and no it was'nt the gascap....lol Thanks!!!

Did you have all the hoses connected to the Cobb intake? There should be three hoses from the engine to the tubing.

The ECU should keep the freeze frame data from the CE light you threw. I suggest going down somewhere and getting that code read to find out what it was. Sounds like it was probably nothing important...but it would be good to know what it is. Autozone checks CE lights I believe.

Autozone does OBD-II checking but they only give you the code. The won't give you snap shot info. Jiffy lube will give you snap shot info for around $20-30...That's what the guy there told me.
