That's because they do now. They went from an aggressive body style to trash corolla.

Parked in a parking lot waiting for my buddy to show up for lunch and a car full of teenagers (guys n girls) and the convo goes like this:

Guy- cool car man, that a WRX or STI?
Me- (thinking kid knows atleast it's a subie) thanks man, it's only the WRX though.
Guy- so it's not turbo'd then, u should get one!
Me- no its turbo'd
Guy- so u got a blow off valve, lemme hear it!
Me- *facepalm* no, no bov it has a bypass valve... It recirculates the air instead of making that awesome whoosh noise, I'm gonna get one soon though!
Guy- cool man can u rev it!

The other day I was parking in the city and some hipster crack head girl starts talking about how she likes my car, Wat kind is it? I told her "it's a Subaru" she made a face that only a mother could love, before she walks away she says, "I have a better Honda." -__-

Not funny at all but didn't want to make a new thread to face palm at the stupidity of others....

This kid I went to school with has owned a Mustang v6, Silverado, GMC Denali (current), 2007 STi, G37 (current). Damn what a lucky 18 year old. Mama loves him.

Anyways, he's trading in the GMC for a 2011 STi and at the dealership he starts it in gear putting it into another 2011 STi.

On Facebook I said "please don't get one, or at least drive it respectively." He then replied with "you dont know me.... thats the only way i drive..."

Expect your insurance to go up because this dumb-ass can't drive and regularly goes 25+ over the limit. At least he got his first job recently lol. /rant

Oh, and I'm sure it's inaccurate to boot! I mean, I don't know what drink it was they were stuffing into every cubbyhole, but it wasn't PBR, which we all know to be the fuel that every hipster runs on (in Chicago, at least).

The other day in a parking lot a older guy in newer mustang gt laughed and sarcastically said, "how much Hp does your hood scoop add?" I then told him it cools the tmic. Then I showed him that his hood scoop wasn't even functional and didn't vent through.

I paused it and it said organic cola. Didn't even know that existed.

At work a coworker asked:

Her: Hey would you ever sell your car?
Me:maybe, for the right price anything is possible.
Her: ok, well what is it?
Me: Subaru Impreza Ls.
Her: Subaru? I thought Only lesbians drove those?
Me:....slowly lowers face, drops 5 plates which then shatter on the floor.

I had a buddy in high school that had a v6 stang...I didn't have the STI at the time obviously, but he just didn't understand that his hood scoop wasn't functional. We kind of got into a debate about it and I said that if it was functional, it feeds cold air into the engine, producing a cooler, denser charge, thus in most cases, increasing power. He just looked at me weird and asked why you would want COLD air shoved into the engine? I just gave up and let him think what he wanted...weeks later he lowered it and put a single exit fart can on it

I honestly went to the dealership to buy the sti, but it was too loud. The more I drive my car the more I'm starting to wonder how much louder it really was.

"NAH YOUR CAR AINT A SUBARU ITS A SAAB. YOU KNOW WHAT SAAB STANDS FOR?"

And he owns a mitsubishi eclipse DSM FWD, that he keeps saying is AWD Turbo, popped open the hood

"So bro wheres the turbo."

"nah man it's built in, it's aftermarket"

"so wheres the exhaust"

"uses oem exhaust"

then he proceeded to do a spin out in the parking lot, where a cop pulls right up and arrests him for an outstanding warranty, drug, etc.

Some random girl and I just walk away sighing.

I got "rice violation" ticket today from some homo. The only thing marked? Outrageous or non-functional body kit. Its a stock bodied 2004 wagon with no aftermarket body parts on it anywhere. LMFAO idiots

Talking with this model who I've been seeing. She surprises me and finally gets to see my 04 sti when she stopped by my shop as i was working on it.

Me: Hey! What are you doing here??

Her:Just came by to see you, is that your car? *points to my car on the lift*

Me:Yup! Thats my baby up there. What do you think?

Her:Oh My God!!! Its so bubbly and cute!! You know I'm gonna get a subie just because you have one, right?

Me:What did you just call my car?

Her: I said its cute and bubbly! Oh, but it looks like its sad too! It needs some loving and a hug! Can i give it some subie love?

Me: Sure, just dont leave the seats too wet.

Needless to say, shes a keeper. As for the bubbly-ness of my car..

Meh, don't be too upset. My girlfriend said she absolutely loves my car. She went on to say that it's wonderful and is great to sit in. I've decided to just embrace anything the lady enjoys about the car (or cars in general).

Then I asked why (hoping to hear some things about the ride, power, fun etc etc), and she said "the heated seats"! Her list also included: moonroof, good heating + A/C.

Well, not necessarily terrible points to have in a car, but still, I was hoping the WRX would get some more credit than just creature comforts .
